Souplantation sacrifices QUALITY for QUANTITY.
Basically its an all-you-can-eat buffet that is supposed to be "healthy"
Their soup sucks even though the name is SOUPlantation.
The only thing I eat here is the pizza and the mac n cheese. Sometimes a salad also.
The quality of the food sucks, but the low price makes up for it.
A lot of times, teenagers sneak in through the exit and get a free lunch. (I myself have been guilty of this a couple of times as well)
There is a mixed crowd here full of young high school kids, to old people, to groups of families.

Souplantation is good for kids and old people... but not for anyone between the ages of 18 and 35. For that age group there are way better places to get a good buffet.

The salad bar is a definite ''maybe''. Certain items are left out far too long in ''questionable'' temperatures. There's usually a choice of 5 soups (not always hot!). They're all far too salty - there should be at least ''one'' that's low-sodium if they want to call themselves a ''healthy'' place to eat. Only very rarely do they have anything that's sugar free in their deserts and baked goods. Not much help if one happens to be diabetic (an epidemic in the USA). There's many people who aren't diabetic who prefer sugar-free stuff, too! The pastas (usually they have 3 different kinds), are covered with thick, cheesy, salty sauces. Why can't they serve the pasta up plain, and put the various sauces on the side, so people can take if, only if they ''want'' it. So the pasta, too, definitely wouldn't be called ''healthy''.

One last thing: The management team are not at all helpful. However, the guys who clean the tables, etc. are great!

We live close to this souplantation, but we prefer to go to the MDR one because the food is fresher there. The tables are slow to be cleaned off, and the bread often tastes old.

PROS:
CONS: Food tends to be "old"

I've been to this souplantation a few times. Its very hit or miss. One time we went and everything was well stocked. Another time we went and the soups were cold, the dessert table was more or less empty and it was disappointing. I'll probably try it again because its the only cheap all you can eat, basically healthy place in Brentwood, but you never know if it will be a good value or not.
