My child has been enrolled at this center for 4 years and is leaving to enter Kindergarten. There are some long term staff that have been with the center including the center management team. My daughter always received love and nurture as well as the socialization and education readiness needed for Kindergarten. As she entered the preschool program, she participated in the excellent enrichment programs offered and is reading a writing thanks to the awesome curriculum programs offered and the love and patience given to her by the Kiddie Hall staff.Although we will be leaving the center and excited about our child's next transition, Kiddie Hall has been like a second home and we will miss all of the wonderful staff.I would highly recommend this center to any professional looking for quality, professionalism, and an excellent learning environment for children of all ages.I would like to add, that when my child was an infant, I often visited at lunch time as it was so convenient being right in the center of downtown.
If you want to see quality first hand, I encourage you to visit the center and see for yourself.

I am a parent and I've been to Kiddie Hall several times and each time I was met with smiles and welcome words. But that's looking at things from the outside-in. If you took time to look at it from the inside-out you will see and feel something totally different.
Kiddie Hall, the downtown shop. Is ran and operated by one incompetent, self-centered and unfriendly person who calls herself a Director. She is uncaring about her employees pain and suffering under her RULE. The employees can't be creative in the environment that she has established. The employees have to be told. "You will smile at the customers." Why? Because they are truly unhappy working with this Director. Her side-kick and so-call assistant Director. Is no support for the employees either. She is what you call a "yes lady."
If you want your child to be cared for by caring, loving people. Find another place. A place that has a caring Director and staff. A place where they truly care about their employees and not just about the money they can make off the parents. Your child needs love 24/7, even if youre at work or whatever you do after you drop your precious child off. Love or the lack of love will make all the difference in the world. You know that, I hope. I know for a fact that employees were fired from kiddie Hall and I know why they were fired. Below are some things you should know, so ask.
1. Ask Kiddie Hall Corporate office why is their employee turnover rate so high?
2. Ask Kiddie Hall Corporate office, why are your Directors always found setting down in their office and eating something.
3. Ask Kiddie Hall Corporate office, why are your Directors uncaring about their employees needs?
Before you take your child to a place like this. Please make sure that they have replaced that Director that was there as of 02-03-09. Her name begging with (Sh)

My daughter has been attending this preschool for a year and we are currently looking for a change. The facilities are very nice, but don't be fooled. They do have some good teachers, but many are disinterested, not very loving to the children, and seem generally overwhelmed. They are at the maximum ratio of 12 students per teacher, plus the teachers have to serve lunch, do laundry, clean up, make beds, etc. As a result, the classrooms are chaotic. On one occasion, I went to pick my daughter up from school and her teacher had no idea where she was. Thankfully, we found her in the bathroom, and the teacher then reprimanded her for not telling the teacher where she was going! Give me a break!

Its Kiddie Hall! My almost four year old son has attended Kiddie Hall since he turned two and we have been extremely happy with the care, the facility, and the price (we are full time city employees and receive a discount). I would highly reccomend it to anyone looking for care in teh downtown area.

Located in downtown San Diego, Kiddie Hall may sound like a City Hall for children, but it is anything but. Kiddie Hall is a state of the art Child Care Center which boasts outdoor playgrounds, eight classrooms, and full child care facilities for infants to children 5 years of age. The registration process to get into this place is a bit lengthy as well as complicated. If you are a city employee you get ahead of the line privileges when it comes to registration. Their fees are even more complicated, and are determined not only by the age of your child, but whether or not you are employed full time, or part time by the city. While they accept non city workers children, there is generally a waiting list. My best advice is if you have a child you want to get into this center, get your name on the list as soon as possible. The facility has space for up to 150 children. This is the best downtown facility, and if you are working in the downtown area, and have children in the preschool age group, then this is the place to take your child(ren). The prices are reasonable, and compared to other facilities, that offer a whole lot less, Kiddie Hall may seem like a bargain to some people, especially those parents working in the downtown area who want the peace of mind of having their children nearby.
