Located in downtown San Diego, Kiddie Hall may sound like a City Hall for children, but it is anything but. Kiddie Hall is a state of the art Child Care Center which boasts outdoor playgrounds, eight classrooms, and full child care facilities for infants to children 5 years of age. The registration process to get into this place is a bit lengthy as well as complicated. If you are a city employee you get ahead of the line privileges when it comes to registration. Their fees are even more complicated, and are determined not only by the age of your child, but whether or not you are employed full time, or part time by the city. While they accept non city workers children, there is generally a waiting list. My best advice is if you have a child you want to get into this center, get your name on the list as soon as possible. The facility has space for up to 150 children. This is the best downtown facility, and if you are working in the downtown area, and have children in the preschool age group, then this is the place to take your child(ren). The prices are reasonable, and compared to other facilities, that offer a whole lot less, Kiddie Hall may seem like a bargain to some people, especially those parents working in the downtown area who want the peace of mind of having their children nearby.
