I've been a member of this video store for about 2 years only because its so close to my house, but this is hands down the creepiest place in Hollywood. Their "dirty" section is bigger than the regular section, and is separated by an antiquated blue velvet curtain. Careful, I heard someone got the clap after accidentally brushing by it. Every time I go here, without fail, there are always creepsters lurking about the aisles of the non-dirty section staring me down. I feel dirty and gross after a visit to this place.

Also, this place is outrageous with their late fees. I just found a charge for $60 on my credit card statement, and I had a charge for $40 a couple months ago. I might as well have a home theater on lay away. I have no problem paying a late fee if I am unable to get the videos back in time, but it has to reasonable, I seriously feel gauged!! Where do they get off charging that much?? The videos were only 2 days late, and 1 day late, respectively. Don't they know about this little company called NETFLIX?? One would assume you would have to compete with other popular companies, especially those who don't charge any late fees! Blockbuster doesn't even charge late fees anymore. I am closing my 20/20 account today and signing up for Netflix.

Don't even bother renting here, you're better off buying the movie in BluRay; and buying a huge flat screen to go with it.

You know, I've been going here every week for probably 6 months, 4 dvds a week at $14 dollars is $56 dollars a month. So I guess I feel like I'm a GOOD customer, I'm patient, polite, never complain about late fees... Regardless of this fact, the people that run this place could not be more unfriendly to me. There's the cranky russian guy, who's like, I guess, the kind of "too cool for school" video store version of someone who'd work at the music store in High Fidelity. He's so abrupt and unfriendly, you almost feel like apologizing for making him ring you up. And then there's the middle aged unhappy black man. Why is this man so miserable? GOD he must hate working here and he sure passes it on to the customer. It's called customer service, and it's not rocket science. I give friendly service at my job. These pathetic schlebs can at least muster a half smile!!! They need to lay off the Bergman films or something!!! While I'm at it, I may as well mention, they apparently haven't changed the speakers for the stereo since 1985. All the business they get and they can't bother to buy a new stereo. I'm taking my business elsewhere...
