When first I walked into this school, I expected to find as always cold hearted people just wanting to get my babies registered and make money. What a surprise. An absolutely delightful lady welcomed me. She immediately was talking to my babies and after 1 minute they were all hugging her and wanting to talk more with her. As I was standing hoping she might be interested in talking to me too, I must admit I felt jealous.

She then looked up to me and said" Good morning to you young mother please come on all in my office" Once in her office she comfortably sat my children and offered me to join her. She asked if any of my 3 children would like to sit next to her. I could not believe my eyes. They all run to fight who will sit the nearest to her. (When we were visiting other school, all my children will be crying and grabbing my pants and not giving me the chance to talk).That was my first experience.

I have never met a warm and loving person, what a chock compared to all the day cars and preschools I have been visiting. I am blessed to have met this unique child advocate mother of two who is providing an extraordinary loving and caring home away from home to my children and to so many others.

She believes every mother should stay home for the first three years of their child's life. So when a young mother with a 6weeks old baby comes in, you should see her trying to convince the mother not to come but to stay home if the husband is working.

When it comes to educating, she has the best program I have ever seen. She believes in encouraging and challenging the minds of children early on. One of my three children was 3 years old when we fist attended the school, he just graduated from kindergarten at age 5. He was so much advanced in English, French and Spanish which are the basis of her program, we took him for a test and he passed 2nd grade American curriculum.

My husband, my parents, my in laws and I are flabbergasted. I still can not believe.
To say the truth, I do not want this magnificent day car/preschool to be known because I do not want it to grow, but at the same time I feel I must share this place with others so that their children can be in a safe, loving, compassionate and educationally challenging home with as we call her mother of all. If you love your child this is the place.

We all want the best school for our young children. The moment I saw the International Academy, I knew I had found a second home for my child. She started at the age of 18 months and has been a happy student for a year now! Every spare moment I have, I use to benefit the school. My roommate is one of the teachers at the school, a kind gentleman from Senegal.
The woman who started the school is a good, strong woman from Ethiopia. She was disappointed with the schools in America and wanted to start a unique school for her two children that would nurture a sense of community and give them the best possible education. She carefully selects teachers from all over the world who do more for the students in one year than a public school could do in a lifetime.
This school helps children from low-income families and is non-profit. They hope to work with refugee families too in the near future, but they need additional community support to keep their dreams of helping others alive.
This school is a beautiful, loving family. Each child and parent are greeted with hugs as they walk in the door. Parents will slowly learn French and Spanish along with their children and attend beautiful plays with hand-painted mural backdrops. The interior of the school itself is a work of art now.
The children are encouraged to be constantly discovering, creating, taking field trips, learning and staying culturally aware and community minded.
Never in my life do I expect to find another school like this.
