I had the pho here and it wasn't all that bad. The only thing I wasn't impressed with is that the bean sprouts and basil weren't that fresh.

Clean restaurant, service was pretty quick as they try to get you out of there ASAP. I don't like it when places give you the bill when you're not even halfway done eating! I'll let it go this time since it was during lunch.... will take away a star next time if I come for dinner and it happens again!

My junior high school locker partner from Luther Burbank Junior High back in the 60s and I have been here several times over the past couple years. We never get tired of it. In fact, we have brought friends who love it too. Our favorites

I used to eat at this restaurant all the time, the prices were great and the service was pretty good.\r
In the last few years Ive seen the prices go up, the quality of food go down. I ate there again on Monday 6/2/08. My friend and i paid

I read about this place in a magazine under the heading of "Best cheap eats in the city" and having tried it would have to agree. Really great indochine cuisine for $7 lunch specials or $10 entrees. #17 "Special Pancakes" on the dinner menu is a must try. It's kind of like an omelete but the outside is a flaky yellowish pancake made with rice flour and on the inside is pork, prawns and sprouts. Served with a big pile of basil, lettuce, mint etc.. They'll serve it for lunch if you've got 10 -15 minutes for them to make it. If you're in the Civic Center or "lower nob hill" area (the main detraction from the restaurant is it's location) this is a great option. From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall chinese place, but inside it's pretty decent atmosphere. Definitely recommend it.

I went to this restaurant with my coworkers, and it was not a pleasant experience overall. First of all, one of my coworkers ordered item #11, beef crispy noodles, and it took almost half an hour for him to get a dish of wide rice noodles,

I ate here a while back and I can't say it was amazing or a one of a kind place. The service was friendly, but somewhat anonymous, the food was good, but nothing to die for, and the atmosphere was pleasant. Having read numerous positive,

Yes, it's in the Tenderloin, and yes, the service can be off at times, especially if they have large groups, but this is the best Vietnamese restaurant for the money, anywhere. The green papaya salad with Vietnamese beef jerky is great,

Unless you like pork fat chunks swimming in an oily sauce, I wouldn't recommend this place. I gave the spring rolls a try and was not impressed, they were bland and the salad wraps were not good either. The broiled pork chunks that were

Wow ! Found this place by complete accident and was ready o be disappointed by yet another Vietnamese pho place trying to be the poor man's version of Slanted Door. How wrong where we! Simply the best spring rolls we have ever had.
