I don't know which Onami some of these other reviewers visited but the one in Torrance is great. I have been going to this one for many years ( it used to be a Todai ), and feel it has only improved with age. I also try a different sushi bar every, week and all I can say is.... Onami is the best value for the price. When going to a tyipical sushi bar we usually spend upwards of $80.00. Onami's seafood is always fresh, the selection varied and the service friendly and prompt. What more do you want?

The worst sushi buffet ever, nothing was fresh; and limited variety. Will never ever dine in again in my life, doesn't even worth a penny and charged $24/person. Ridiculous!

Onami was a huge disappointment for my family and I. They didnt have a variety of rolls or sushi and most of the food did not look or taste fresh. I usually do not leave reviews for restaraunts, but i couldnt help myself after such horrible experience. If you want to eat real sushi, rolls, or just Japanese food in general, Onami is definitely not the place. Honestly I recommend you rather go to Todaii in Orange. I strongly recommend Todaii in Orange and they will not disappoint you, never. 100X better and the price is the same.

Onami is a Japanese seafood buffet restaurant similar to the larger chain buffet restaurant, Todai. I think the quality of their food is a lot better than Todai's though. They have a lot of selections and their sushi's are excellent. Their service is good although it does get busy on weekends.

Onami offers a sushi buffet that boasts an all-you-can-eat selection of cooked Japonese favorites as well as sushi and sashimi standards. Onami also offers a beautiful dessert bar. Staff is friendly, though minimal, but the food is of excellent quality, making you want to spend the day there. Onami could update their interior, however, to look less 80's brass and mirrors, but the food makes up for their lack of interior design.

PROS: Quality and selection of food, buffet-style fresh sushi
CONS: A little pricey, but for sushi lovers, its reasonable.
