Review

by M K.

I agree the place is way too overcrowded. A lot of poser douchbags, too. People - When you are using a machine and you see someone waiting, have the courtesy to let someone else work in with you. How many idiots do you see camping out on a machine, listening to their IPods, while others are waiting? I asked a poser woman if I could work in with her on the bench press while she was talking on her cellphone (!). Her reply was, "Sorry, no, it upsets my routine". Wow, totally clueless.

Nice gym but way too crowded

by Marie M.

The new large facility is nice, clean but impersonal as compared to the old gym. Members there, of all ages, shapes and sizes, are serious about exercise so one doesn't feel intimidated. The classes I have tried are very good. BUT... It's hard to find a time of day when it's not crowded. That means after driving around for 15 minutes you still won't find parking. After waiting long periods of time for the equipment I wanted to use, I have often just given up and sometimes just left altogether. The place is kind of like Disneyland on 4th of July weekend.

Nice facility, but over crowded

by Maureen M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,801

Very nice 24 hour fitness, complete with basketball courts, swimming pool, cycling and aerobic rooms. Lots of great equipment for weight lifting. Staff is nice, but hard to find because the place is so packed. Water aerobics classes are fun, but pool is small and bottom very uneven. Nice gym, but be prepared not to be able to get on most equipment, or allow extra waiting time.

Love the new location

by Marisa A. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 10,236

There new location in down the street in Cypress. I love the new location. it is large with a lot of workout equptment. This locaton is the bussiest in the morrining hours, but after like 10-11 am is the best time to visit. The parking lot is huge but I think there will be a problem when all the other stores/resturants open in that shared area.

PROS: Great huge gym
CONS: I see problems in the future with parking when all the shops open up

Location has moved to 4951 Katella

by Carleen K. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,673

This location (4141 Katella) has closed down since the new Sports gym opened up a few months ago about a block away on the same street. It is PACKED after 6 and especially in the afternoon during lunch hours. Since it is new, everything is still clean and nice. A variety of classes are offered, including Step, Piyo, and Spin classes.

worth the price

by marisa s. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 436

I never liked the gym but I changed my mind when I started going to the Bally Total Fitness.
The best hours are in the very early morning and if you like me like to exercixe two-three time s a week the money you will spend is worth. You can ask for the pay-as-you-go so you don't have to sign for a year or more.
They have great classes of yoga and martial arts, as well as a small nice pool that is never too crowded.

This fitness center is one of the most dirty and oldest clubs i have seen. All of their equipment is old and some of it doesnt ever work correctly. THe fitness club is also rather small in comparison to some of the other fitness clubs around. They dont have all of the extra stuff either, like swimming pools, basketball courts, raquetball courts or a day care center for the little ones. They are planning on building a new club, which will probably be top of the line, but i would not recommend going there until that happens.
