Ratings_icons Best Daycare in Costa Mesa

My little boy loves going to Coastal Children's Learning center. It is the best daycare in Costa Mesa we've been to thus far and we've looked at many. The teachers are very nice and really love the kids. I like the fact that they have different class levels for each age group.

Ratings_icons My Daughter Loves It!

Allison S.

My daughter loves Coastal. She is in the toddler program. It's fun watching her learn new skills and make new friends. They do a lot of interactive and playful lessons. I have noticed big changes in the way she relates to her world now. It's fun to watch. From the first time we stopped by and took a tour of the school, I could tell she felt at ease there. It made my decision easier. The director, Katrina, and all the teaches are warm and caring people who enjoy being with the children. I have recommended this place to my friends.

I am a teacher with a Masters Degree in Child Development from Michigan State University, and the parent of a pre-schooler. After visiting 10 plus pre-schools in the Costa Mesa area, I found Coastal to be the best by far. The staff is loving to the children, professional, and cutting edge for California. The cottage style building is bursting with student work and happy energy from all staff and students. The staff is educated on age appropriate materials, lessons, and expectations. The facility is very accomodating to meet the needs of children and parents. I am thrilled my child has had a chance to begin his education at Coastal.

Ratings_icons EXCELLENT CENTER

Anonymous

Our 3 1/2 year old and 17 month old have attended Coastal CLC since they were 6 months old. The Center is bright and clean, and the staff is caring and dedicated. I highly recommend the Center for infant care through pre-k. I'm not sure what's happening in the other 2 reviews...Coastal is open until 6pm and has day care hours for working families. Also, the curriculum is set and schedule posted, but they pride themselves on the "Learn through Play" philosophy. So the children get plenty of learning time, but also plenty of play time. I think it's a great mix of the two!

MY CHILD IS HAPPILY PLAYING WITH OTHER KIDS.HE IS SHARING TOYS AS BEFORE HE DIDN'T.HE IS VERY HAPPY TO GO TO SCHOOL .BUT I FOUND THAT EDUCATION WISE THEY COULDN'T TELL MY KID MORE .HE IS UNABLE TO WRITE THE ALPHABETS ALSO EVEN THOUGHT IT TOOK AROUND 4 MONTHS .THE SCHOOL FACILITIES ARE GOOD & THE STAFF TEACHERS ARE GOOD.

PROS: HAS GOOD ENVIRONMENT & FACILITIES FOR CHILDREN
CONS: PROVIDE SOME MORE TEACHING OTHER THAN PLAYING

this does feel like a small world place. this center really wants the children to feel comfortable, therefore they have specially trained professionals working there.
They have lots of games and a nice resting area for the kids to rest in. Also they do have story time which is very important. They are reasonable in price, but one down turn is that they only have the kids until 4pm.
