4 Stars: good pasta (by Sharon V.)

This is a great place for pasta. They have a variety of pasta dishes available and they make them right up for you, while you wait. I enjoy the pasta carbonara or the fettuccine with chicken.

4 Stars: Italian Casual Dining (by lwmango)

While the interior of the restaurant is slightly reminiscent of a high school cafeteria (complete with trays), Pasta Roma is good for a quick, well-priced lunch or dinner. The dining room offers lots of seating and works well for couples or large groups. They offer daily lunch specials and a majority of their menu is under $10. Don' t know what to order from their vast menu? On the walls are large photos of their various dishes like Veal Picata, Penne Puttanesca, and Chicken Cacciatore. Besides pasta they serve hot and cold sandwiches, calzones, soups, and pizza. Try the hot grilled chicken sandwich, a delicious panini that comes with your choice of pasta salad, green salad, or fries. Their bread is amazing, little knots of dough that has been glazed with either oil or butter and dusted with herbs.

4 Stars: Halfway between fast food and authentic (by cambird)

Despite its flaws, I like Pasta Roma. It's a good and quaint atmosphere (a fast food version of mom's kitchen), good pizzas and pastas, and affordability. As a USC student, I can appreciate all these things. And because of my academic affiliation, I can also get a pretty nifty discount on the already good prices.

3 Stars: Not authentic, but acceptable for lunch. (by intlfoods)

Pasta Roma is one of those to the rescue when you "crave" Italian in the area. I used to work walking-distance to the restaurant; also, from time to time, I would order their food for delivery. The 'Farfalle' and 'Fettucine Alfredo w/ Chicken' is perfect for the late "luncher". The 'Mista Ensalada' is also a regular pick and great for a light munch. It is not authentic Italian, but good enough to the rescue in downtown Los Angeles - also, good service. Great memories!
