This is the best Thai food in this town. The decorations make you feel like you're in Thailand. We always enjoy tom yum gai (chicken sour soup), plus the usual chicken satay and grilled chicken. The sauce tastes great, too. We always end with sweet rice and mango dessert. The very friendly servers made us feel welcome and comfortable. The price was reasonable - it's a great place for special occasions.

I was introduced to Little Home by my coworkers when they were located in San Ramon back in 2000. It's instantly become an addiction! For a while there, my friend & I would go at least once a week. Now my husband is also addicted and we have cravings for their Chicken Satay & Sliced Beef dishes all the time. It just tastes like a delicious home cooked meal. The place is always packed for lunch. Their lunch combination is the best deal. You can choose 2 dishes with rice & a small dessert for $8.95. The owners are very friendly & I think the customer service is good. If you're in the mood for thai, give LIttle Home a try. You won't be dissapointed! I haven't found another Thai place to praise like this.

Pros: Good service, good location, delicious food

Cons: Parking can be difficult with Trader Joe's nearby

My family has been regular customers at Little Home Thai Cuisine in Pleasanton (next to Trader Joes), but after tonights experience I will never eat there again.

Two months ago, I was dining with my wife and my friend. I first find a hair in my soup, remove it and continue eating it, and later in the dinner my friend finds a hair in her Pad Thai. I did not say anything initially about the hair in the soup (not wanting to ruin everyones appetite), but my friend complains to the waitress about the hair in her Pad Thai. She asks to have the Pad Thai removed from the tab (she did not eat any of it). The wait staff refuses to remove the Pad Thai from the tab, even when I mention that was the second hair that we found. The manager insists that they prepare another order of Pad Thai, and we reluctantly agree. They also give us a free fried banana dessert. We pay our meal in full.

I returned to the restaurant this evening with my wife and parents. Its my turn to order and the manager, who is our waitress, says to me, This time dont eat all of your meal, and then complain about hair in the food, the waitress had to pay for the dishes last time.

So we find two hairs in our previous meal, make a complaint, and now they are accusing me of stealing and cheating!!!

The restaurant is in complete denial about their poor food preparation and then tries to blame it on me, the customer. The manager was extremely rude and in poor taste.

Diner Beware!

I've dined at Little Home Thai Restaurant at least once a week since they opened the Pimlico Dr., Pleasanton a few years ago. Old location is now closed, so, this location has become by far the best Thai Restaurant located in the Tri-Valley Area both in terms of food as well as personal service to match the name. I'm extremely critical of Thai Restaurants as I've traveled on several occasions to Thailand and indulged my taste royally at the source. Less than a handful of restaurants in the SF Bay Area offer truly authentic Thai cuisine at a level that rivals a native restaurant in Thailand, regardless of cost. Little Thai, in my humble opinion, is amongst the best the Bay Area offers. Start and end with any item available on the menu, I'm confident if you're already a fan of Thai cuisine, you'll be thoroughly pleased. Bon appetit! ~"O"

Pros: Excellent Service, Excellent Food, Excellent Value/Price

Cons: Crowded Parking Lot, Small Staff, Very Popular

This restaurant use to me a few blocks from my house before it moved from the old place that was the size of a closet to a new spacious location. The ambience is cool and every dish I have ordered there has had a wonderful flavor. The Tom Kha Ta-Lay the serve is my all time favorite soup.

I had a 16 person dinner party there that went off perfectly (do make reservations for that large a party) and even my picky 10yr old will eat there. The parking lot is small and shared with a few other shops and a Trader Joes so it can get crowded with people and shopping carts.

Overall its definitely my favorite Thai!

The food here is mediocre at best and terrible at worst. Among other things, we ordered pad thai noodles that we disgusting and I do mean disgusting. They were overcooked with a runny sauce on them. To be fair, we had them in this establishment prior, and while they were mediocre previously, this time they were terrible. When we complained to management, they claimed this is what pad thai noodles were and they are always like this. To make matters worse, they acted as though we were just trying to get a free entree out of our complaint...an entree that was too bad to eat.

PROS: Location

I have eaten here many times over the past 5 years. The owners are always friendly and know their Thai food. The husband/wife team are the head chefs, so they take pride in the food. The food is authentic and they use good ingredients.

On weekend nights, they usually have entertainment, with one of the staff playing a Thai musical instrument.

Prices are very reasonable.
