I called the arcade before going to ask how much the entrance fee was and just showing how TERRIBLE the customer service is there, I asked her how much the fee was and guessing she didnt hear me she replied with a "what" with the ugliest attitude and after repeating the question and getting my answer, as I was saying thank you she cut me off and hung up the phone!!!!!! The employees need to be spoken to, they are getting paid to provide a good service not to scare customers off! I didnt even bother taking my kids seeing that that was just service over the phone I can't even imagine how awful it is at the actual arcade.

This place is NOT someplace to take your kids! They've changed their policy recently, not allowing children in without supervision, unless they are over 16 years old. I agree with the new policy...but this should be posted on the windows or doors. Today I took my 10 yr old son and his 9 yr old friend to the arcade (as we've done many times) and dropped them at the door, with the understanding of picking them up in 2 hours. Approximately 30 minutes later, I get a call from my son...stating that they can't get in! When I arrive to escort them inside, I find out that they WERE NOT ALLOWED TO USE THE PHONE AT THE ARCADE to call me. And were directed to use the phone of another business ON THE OPPOSITE END OF THE PARKING LOT (this is a very large shopping center). Naturally I confronted the manager of the arcade, asking why the boys were denied use of the phone...and was told that they "do not have a phone in the entire place that is capable of dialing out". Hmmm...what would they do in the case of an emergency??? Their new policy of not allowing kids under 16, is supposedly for the safety of our children. Yet, they don't allow them use of the phone, and send them out to find one elsewhere...knowing full-well that their parents are not there. ARE THEY WILLING TO ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY WHEN SOMETHING HAPPENS TO THESE KIDS??? WOULD THEY EXPECT ANY LESS, IF IT WERE THEIR OWN KIDS??? Needless to say, we left their establishment, and will not return. And I plan on spreading this information to as many parents as possible. THIS IS NOT A CHILD-FRIENDLY PLACE!

THIS ARCADE HAS ALL THEIR GAMES FOR LESS THAN A DOLLAR (SINCE THE LAST TIME I WENT). THEY ARE NOT JUST A NICKEL, BUT THAT IS OKAY BECAUSE YOU WILL HAVE FUN ANYWAY.

The nickel arcade is great. The prices are very good there is a small entry fee and the games take nickels. Some of them are actually free the older ones. (here I come pacman) The do not have a lot of the newer video games but , that is okay they have plenty to choose from to keep the kids interest and the prices are easy on my wallet especially when you use a coupon for buy 1 entry fee get 1 free. This is a great place to go. The kids will have fun and you will have enough to take them out for pizza afterwards.

I would just like to say that my kids love this place as do I. You pay a flat entrance fee per child and all games are a nickel. I also like to cut expenses (and need to with a 12, 7 and 6 year old) by using the coupons in the phone book. BOGO free. It makes it even better. The kids have fun and I like the fact that it is monitored so you can't stroll in and out. I can even drop my 12 year old off and feel comfortable giving him some "responsibility".

PROS: Cheap, monitored, accepts coupons
CONS: Limited sitting room for non players. No drinks or snack bar.

You can call 'em five-cent pieces, Jeffersons or plain ol' nickels, but this is the place to spend 'em. With a variety of video games and pinball machines, this is a great place to spend a few hours on a rainy weekend afternoon. Not all the machines are 5 cents per play; some take more than one nickel.

PROS: Good variety, both video games and pinball, convenient Blackstone location
CONS: Some machines take several nickels

If you're looking for a place to entertain your kids without breaking your bank account, this is the place. You can also host birthday parties here. There is a snack bar and plenty of games to choose from. Not the cleanest place in the world, but hey, what do you expect for a nickel?

The Nickel Arcade has a bunch of arcade games that are priced relatively cheaply. Not all games are a nickel, but they are close to it. You can stop by later in the night as well. I believe they are open until 11.
