I ahve always had a good meal here. The meals are tasty and what you would expect from a Jewish Deli. I eat here quite often and always leave full and satisfied

I've been coming here for probably 30 years now... and I'm under 40! :-)\n\na place that stays in business that long must be doing something right... it's nothing fancy, just a plan and simple Jewish Deli. Great sandwich's, love the chicken noodle soup. Comfort atmosphere...\n\nGive it a whirl and try one of their triple deckers.. FAnnnnNNnnnnNTastic! \n\nand yes, this is a ""REAL DELI""... great stuff.

Benjies Restaurant - Deli & Bakery is a delicious old-fashioned Jewish deli that serves pastrami and corn beef sandwiches on rye with sauerkraut and cole slaw.

This restaurant is a Jewish deli that is in the heart of Santa Ana so they also offer some great Mexican dishes. You can even order Kosher if you want. They are extremely eclectic.

We ate there today for the first time. (7/7/08) Blah! The matzoh ball soup was the most bland I have ever had. The pastrami sandwich was decent, but the potato salad is not homemade, and it is sweet like the kind you get at the local supermarket. I would save my money for Katella Deli in Los Alamitos, or the little whole in the wall place in Laguna Hills called Kosher Bite.

Pros: The Iced tea was good, lol!

Cons: The food is very bland!

I remember the shock when I first saw the ""Best of Orange County"" list of good deli's and list two or three franchised sandwich shops. \r\n\r\nBenjie's is a real deli. They have matzo ball soup. They have blintzes!!! \r\nThey have senior citizens eating early bird dinners @ 4:30pm when I'm finally getting time to each lunch.\r\nAnd at no time did I think I would have to take out a home equity line of credit to pay for a good meal.\r\n\r\nWe've been there for dinner and breakfast. And overall it's the best deli we've found this side of ""the orange curtain.""\r\n\r\nAs always - I suggest sticking to things that you're supposed to find in a deli - meat sandwiches - breakfast foods - blintzes - smokes salmon - traditional dishes (kasha varnishkas are VERY good - avoid the knishes).
