Cote Animal Hospital

We have been taken our animals here for over four years. Dr. Cote and her staff are wonderful. She has treated my iguana, two cats and my new doberman puppy. The staff is very attentive, caring and able to calm you down in stressful times. I have left messages after hours and i always get a call as soon as they open. You can always expect a card for the holidays, and info cards so you know that there are upcoming check ups for your animals, the card also lets you know what shots they will be getting. I live out in Santee, and the drive is well worth the care that is given to my animals.

Although we choose this vet based on its location, we were very pleased with the care/service we received. They worked on all sorts of pets - exotic birds and lizards to your standard cat & dog. We felt very comfortable with the diagnosis/care given to our dogs, although the services were not cheap. I guess that is to be expected in San Diego.

I've been taking my pet's both cats and dogs to Dr. Cote for about eleven years (When she started out at Vetco). She has always been caring and has even followed up by calling up at home to see how my dog or cat is doing following treatment received. Now that I moved to the Palm Springs area three years ago I still travel the two hours just to make sure my pets receive the best care possible. If you are looking for a Vet you can trust she is it. Both her and the staff our wonderful.

I have been going to Dr.Cote from when I first moved to the area 5 years ago. Our 2 cats have gotten fantastic care. Last year we took in a third cat. She was a wounded and malnourished stray cat with a huge heart. I brought her to Dr.Cote and she and her staff sewed up her wound, got her on medicine, rid her of fleas, and did a number of tests on her. We named the beautiful calico Boots and over several months she grew a full mane, gained a few pounds, and became another member of the family (well, that part happened overnight!). The story ends sadly -- Boots got cancer in her mouth and passed away recently. However, each day we had her with us was wonderful. She was truly spoiled and loved. Everyone at Dr.Cote's office got to know Boots since I was in there with her a few times a month. I truly believe that she was in the best care possible. As far as the cancer goes, we were given options and a great referral to a specialist, but the treatments and surgery would have been too much for her heart and kidneys after all she had been through (our decision). We were all very sad to see her go and will always remember her. I would recommend Dr.Cote. She is always up on the best practices and truly has compassion for animals (and their owners).

I was recommended to Dr Cote when I adopted a kitten that became ill, I live in Rancho Bernardo and had a current vet for one of my other cats, but decided to try Cote Animal Hospital. Dr Cote and her staff was so exceptional that I permanently switched my vet in RB to drive all the way to La Jolla to see them. I trust any animal in their care. The staff goes above and beyond with excellent follow-up and Dr Cote is truly the best vet my animals have ever had. Worth the drive every time! A+

I would not go to anyone one else, even if I had to drive from far away. Her experience and compassion is worth it all. She always goes above and beyond what is expected. She keeps current on new treatments responds quickly to medical emergencies.

Dr. Cote truly cares about each of the animals that come into the hospital and treats them as all if they were her own. I have seen some vets become callused and unemotional; you will not find that with her.

Dr. Cote. She is a true veterinarian in every aspect. You will find no better.

In the days of giant veterinary centers and seeing ten different vets, Dr Cote is like going back to the good old days. She truly cares not only about the animals, but about the pet owners too. Yes, she's probably on the expensive side, but in this case, you pay for what you get.

We had two kittens that we had to let go due to FIP (a heartwrenching virus), and on the second occasion, we woke up one Sunday morning and knew that our kitten needed to go that day. Dr Cote doesn't work Sundays, but had no hesitation meeting us at the clinic rather than make us go to an emergency center where we knew nobody. She's that kind of dr.

We have moved to the Poway area, but still travel 20 minutes to see her because not only is she kind, but she's extremely skilled (our kittens were not showing classic signs of the disease).

She also did extensive research and was happy to try cutting edge/experimental therapies when nothing else would work (but did NOT do anything that was truly grasping at straws). I believe she may do some naturopathic work also.

Would absolutely recommend.

Dr. Cote is a great veterinarian who really knows about animals. She works with dogs and cats as well as more exotic animals such as rabbits, hamsters, and birds. The prices are a little bit high, but she really cares about your pet and its health!

Cote Animal Hospital is a great place to take a variety of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small and exotic animals. Dr. Cote is very educated, gentle with the animals, and really makes you and your pet feel comfortable. I would highly recommend this veterinarian.
