I have been going here for years. The service is great and so are the prices. They have really helped me out a bunch of times when I was in a jam. They have my money for life.

STAY AWAY FROM MOUNTAIN MOTORSPORTS!!! They will treat you like dirt and try to rip off you off. The rudest, double talking, excuse for a salesman was by far the most asinine experience I've had when trying to ask questions about

I bought a DRZ400s from this store. It has been an awesome bike and the service has been spectacular in all of the departments. The prices are very good and the people there know what they are doing which is rare these days.

These guys are awesome. I have needed parts really bad and they have taken it off a brand new bike so I did not have to wait. When they work on my bikes they usually do a few things that they did not have to do. I call that going the extra mile and that is so rare nowadays.

I have bought 3 bikes there over a 10 year period of so. It has always been a great experience. They have a lot of the same people there year to year. That says a lot about the operation right there. The service department is very good. I have always felt like I got a good value for my money. The communication is always good and no suprises. I like that.

I buy most of my gear and parts for my CRF450R. They have a lot of inventory and what they don't have they can get right away. I have only purchased one bike there but it went ok. I called around and got my best price and they beat it so I have no complaints there. I do most of my own work but I have used the service department several times. They really know their stuff and their prices are more than fair.

I am a very careful shopper. I really research and shop especially before I make a major purchase. I bought a new 2011 GSXR600 from Mountain Motorsports a few weeks ago and it was a great experience from beginning to end. The sales guys were polite and helpful. No other store even came close to the price they gave me. I saved hundreds from some of the so called discount stores. They even gave me a call a few days after the sale to see how it was going. I will buy there next time and send my friends.

I posted this on YellowBot but I'll also post here: I went to the dealership completely sold on a bike I had seen online - but I left because while I was looking at the bike, the salesman (his name was Dave) lied to me face to face about the integrity bike - which I found out about on my own.

I asked some basic questions about the bike, and he repeatedly told me that all bikes had been serviced and that if the bike wasn't in good condition it wouldn't be for sale. I tried to ask about this specific used Yellow Kawasaki Ninja 500 cc, but he just kept saying ALL BIKES were serviced well. At first he also said that the bike had never been "tipped" but right away I noticed scratched on the right side. He said maybe the previous owner had "dropped" it, making a differentiation where there wasn't one.

Then I asked "Is there anything I need to worry about on this bike?" and he replied, "I wouldn't worry about the bike, I would worry about your riding. Just make sure as a beginning rider you ride safe and you should be fine." But I asked again, "Is there anything mechanical I should worry about for this bike?" and he responded, "All our bikes are serviced and like I said, if this bike wasn't in good condition it wouldn't be here and we've been in business 42 years so I don't know how else to quell your concerns" At which point I said, "So the bike, transmission, engine, everything is in good condition," and he said "yes".

I asked if I could hear the engine, just because I like to hear the motorcycles roar, and he said that all the bikes would need a battery check/service check before the bikes could be turned on - which is weird because every other dealership I had been too was all too happy to let me hear the engine. So I asked if they could jump the battery or replace or whatever it needed so I could hear the engine and see if it was possible to purchase and have it out the door that day. He said sure he could get service to jump the battery and that he wanted to go to his office to draw up papers. But I insisted that I wanted to hear the engine before talking numbers.

So I was asked to wait in the lobby - and left there by Dave for half an hour without any acknowledgement. After that half an hour I thought maybe I should see what was up with the bike, so I walked around back towards the service area. I saw the bike I had been looking at in their shop (that Dave had said was in good condition because it had already been services and would otherwise not be for sale) and the bike had been taken apart by their mechanic. I asked the mechanic why he had taken the carburetor and the gas tank off the bike for a battery jump start (which Dave had said would only take a few minutes) and the mechanic said that he had to clean the carburetor because when he charged the battery the bike wouldn't start and he didn't know why.

I then left.

I had been treated very poorly, and even insulted by Dave, who said that I should be more worried about my beginning riding skills than the integrity of the bike during the process - however, I feel that my riding skills are not for him to judge. The whole time I tried to be polite, but Dave had lied to me saying that the bike was serviced and in good condition. The bike in fact was not even running. Dave had tried to coax me into looking at papers and numbers before I had even heard the engine roar, which is one important factors an owner wants to hear from his motorcycle.

The mechanic was the only honest employee at Mountain Motorsports - the salesmen lie in order to make the sale and are unwilling to admit what the problems are with the bike. If Dave had been upfront about the problems, I might still have considered the bike because I had come to the dealership already sold on it. Unfortunately, he was not, the service and experience were bad, and they have lost my sale.

[Update] 9/4/10 The manager Tony called me today and said Dave didn't know that the carburetor would be bad because the bike had been sitting in storage for so long - and that sometimes bikes' carburetors get dirty and don't start after being in storage. So Dave was trying to sell me a bike 1) he didn't know about 2) wouldn't start.

We have one of the largest selections of used motorcycles and ATV in California. At the time Kevin L came to our store, We had about 400 used units in stock. We do check them out very carefully but as they sit, batteries go bad and the carbs do plug up with stale fuel. I remember the bike. It was in fact very clean. It seems like his major complaint was being left in the dark while we were getting the bike running again. I was not there but it looks we could have done a better job with communication. I invite Kevin to give us another try. This is our 41st year. We did not get here by treating our customers poorly. You can contact me at comments@mtnride.com

I got a good deal on some tires for my 750 from them and they installed them while I waited. It took less then a hour which is much better then some of the other shops I been to that wanted me to leave it for the day. Great service overall IMO

Bought a used cruiser there. They never provided me a key to the luggage lock. So, I called the same day when got home to the sales rep. He promised to get back to me tomorrow, i never heard from him for 4 days. I called the 5th day and told he is in hospital. I then talked to the manager and asked him why take so long and no answer. He confronted me that should he call the rep now in hospital? "do you want me to call him right now, huh? do you want me to do that right now?". Then manager said when they sold me the bike, they never mentioned on the contract that they will provide key for me so if I want them to solve the lock issue, i have to pay them fee???? (if you insist to buy there, make sure you make them write down the list of items you will get like KEY, wheel, exhaust, handlebar, gear, oil, and etc......or you might not get everything you expected)

Alright, what make me really disgusted is the LIE. Sales rep told me the cruiser is fully inspected, adjusted and with brand new oil. When got home, i notice engine was kind of knocking (not sure) so I called and asked few dealerships around my area. Finally i brought it to one of the dealerships in my area. After the initial inspection, they told me this from the report.

1) engine knocks due to completely off valve spec and need adjustment
2) engine oil and filter is extremely dirty and need replacement.
3) there are BAD gasoline (first time heard of this) and need fuel flush. also one of the reason for engine knock.

I complained my unsatisfactorily about these and he blamed me why i did not come back to him? Well, how can i trust their dealership again when i was being lied face to face and eye to eye? So what, i complained but he still say sorry, cannot help unless you pay fees?

Before the sales, you are VIP (Very Important Person). After the sales, unless you keep paying them fees otherwise you are nobody to them.

take my advise, go somewhere.

Owner Jack purchased a used 2006 Yamaha with only 5K on the odometer at a very good price, well below blue book. The previous owner had installed some quick release saddlebag mounts on the bike but a key was not provided to us. After the sale, Jack called to complain of dirty oil and lack of a key, but wouldn't return the bike to us so we could make it right. Jack sent me pictures of his saddlebag lock and I personally tracked down the owner of the bag mount company and he provided Jack with a key. Jack told me, that except for a squeaking brake, he was satisfied. He assured me that if we would fix his brake, he would remove this negative posting. He has not brought his bike in for adjustment, and this post still exists on at least two sites. I feel Jack should keep his word as I kept mine.

I brought my 2004 cbr1000rr in for repair on tuesday because the battery kept going dead. They called me later that day to tell me that it was the stator that was bad and that it wouldnt cost me a thing to get it replaced. I asked how and they said that there was a service bulletin they knew about that covered it free of charge. The best thing was they had this part in stock and replaced it same day. Im sure glad I didnt go to the independent shop because they said it would have cost over 400.00 to replace that piece. Thanks again for your hardwork guys.

This place used to be great but I would not go there ever again nor recommend it to anyone.
Went there to by a used bike and they would not sell it to me without a ridiculously priced warranty. I bought 2 other used bikes from them in the past with the last back in 2001 and never ??HAD? to get a warranty. The cost of the bike went from 5k to 7k with the warranty.
Then the finance manager asked me if I was ready to give them money for running my credit report when I told them I was not going to purchase the bike.

What a difference from some of the other stores I have been in. They were so friendly and made the purchasing experience painless. They have a ton of used bikes. They might be the biggest in California. I shopped around and they were the cheapest and great service besides.

I am using my wife's account to detail my experience...

I went to purchase a 2006-2008 Honda TRX450R. This shop had 4 quads in that age range so I thought they would be interested in negotiating the price. Wow, was I wrong. I found two quads that I was interested in purchasing and told the "Sales Manager" (sales manager is in quotes since he isn't very good at sales, he probably should be a "Repels Manager") that I would like their bottom line, out the door price. The "Sales Manager," who looked like George Costanza from Seinfeld, ie. short, chubby and balding, seemed to be put off by my request. I explained that I just don't want to go back and forth with him about the price. He went away for approximately 15 minutes and then returned with what looked like pricing in his hand. Now, he wanted to know whether I was paying by financing, credit or cash. I again told him that I just wanted his bottom line. After this he seemed to be even more irritated by me and went away saying he isn't going to deal with me. I just stood there confused with my father, wife, son and daughter. I waited for five minutes and saw that the "Sales Manager" was standing at the door to the General Manager or possibly the owner; I never figured out which title is right. I explained the situation to the General Manager and he did little more than nod boringly. I then told the "Sales Manager" that again, I just want a bottom line price and that I would be paying by cash. He seemed to agree to bring back his pricing. He went away for another 15 minutes and then came back with a price of approximately 4200.00 for the 2006 and 4500.00 for the 2008. I then told him that this price is too high and that I have a price of 3800.00 at another shop. This irritated him and he said angrily, "OK, well I guess that's it then, I wasn't having fun anyway," and walked out the back door. I walked out the back door and then said, "How do you think your manager would think if he heard what you just said?" He then came back and said, "You know you came in here and tried to control this from the beginning." I responded that I am the customer and of course I would try to control the negotiation. He then told me to "just leave now." My family and I could not believe that we had just been kicked out of a motorcycle dealership when we had 4500.00 dollars in my pocket to purchase a quad .

We ultimately purchased a 2007 Honda TRX450R at Temecula Motorsports from Jami. He treated us fairly and we feel we paid a fair price for a bike that was in superior condition.

Please be warned...DO NOT TRY TO NEGOTIATE AT MOUNTAIN MOTORSPORTS...expect to pay retail.

Mountain Motorsports loves to negotiate! Brian came to our shop to look at used ATVs. His salesman, Gabriel, was having trouble due to Brian having a combative attitude and summoned Tony, the sales manager, to assist. Our prices are clearly marked, we are happy to give any customer an out the door total anytime. We are perfectly willing to negotiate. Unfortunately, Brian did not want to negotiate. He insisted on a bottom line price that does not exist except through negotiation. We don't have a "secret" price list for buyers "smart" enough to ask for it. We also insist on getting a customer's name, method of payment, and how much HE wants to pay. We also conduct all price negotiations sitting down. Brian wasn't willing to do any of these things easily. We eventually coaxed his name and method of payment from him and got him a discounted price. Brian said he wanted to pay $600 less than that price, Tony said that was impossible, and I saw Brian and his family immediately turn and leave. They were not "thrown out". Lastly, Tony does not look a thing like George Costanza. Come visit him and see for yourself. You might wonder, if Brian was wrong on this point, what else did he misrepresent?

I bought a Suzuki 600 a few months back and I am satisfied. I love my bike. They custom lowered my bike a couple of inches which made it easier to ride and handle it. The staff is nice and helpful. I got a pretty good deal on my bike. They had a good variety of toys.

This store has a great deal of used and new bikes. They are a factory Honda and Suzuki dealer, and have a great selection of used vehicles, including street, and dirt bikes, ATV's, scooters (gas-savers) and RVs.
Experienced service center as well as knowledgable parts staff. Everyone I've encountered there rides as well, so they aren't just blowing smoke.
Ken Hawkins in the sales department, is experience and knows more than most about all sorts of bikes. Won't take you for a ride, Great to deal with.

Had a very stressful experience: Negotiated bike price, salesperson was supposed to get with my bank for financing but took the day off. Even while I was talking to them the next day and was going to come by that afternoon they sold the bike out from under me to someone else. They then joked about this. They close by 6pm and I get off work at 5.. I was very disapointed and will never do business with them again. The worst part is the way I was treated in the process.

Cons: Bad customer care.
