i live nearby and went here with my husband and two kids because we heard it had good cheap food. cheap yes. good no. even something as basic as garlic bread was bland and tasteless. my kids ordered individualized pizzas, which were overcooked and again bland. i feel like i could have made a better pizza with boboli crust and canned sauce. i ordered a veggie pasta which was barely edible. the service was subpar, as was the wine selection. sorry francelli's, but we will never be back.

I love Italian food and have been to Italy many times. This place is the worse I have ever experienced and my dinner guests agreed. Truly the worse!

Have been coming here for years and the food is always good. Nothing fancy, just good,l family style italian food. Eggplant Parm is one of my favorites and they now have whole wheat spaghetti which is wonderful. Great prices and services.. Definately underated as far as Im concerned! House chianti is a great wine at a great price. Mon-Tues is all you can eat spaghetti for $5.95 and Wed - Thurs. Lasagne for $7.95. Overheard a server saying prices may go up a $1 due to economy. Still a great deal for your dollar!

We never have to wait for a table or our food at Francelli's, even if they are busy. Everyone from the hostess to busboys to the waiters are attentive to every customer. The food is usualyl hit or miss. Sometimes really great, sometimes just so so. The prices are good, and we've been going here with family for years now, and will keep coming back.

The service is nice. The food is good, and price is right. We didn't care for the pizza but the pasta dishes are great. Very casual and family friendly.

After reading some negative reviews online I was hesitant, but we had an Entertainment coupon so we'd give it a try since we were going to the Long Beach Shakespeare Theatre for a show. Dinner and a show! The restaurant was nice, not too fancy, and the waiter was very attentive. Garlic bread was served immediately and I ordered the chicken parmigian while my boyfriend ordered the lasagna. We each chose soup with our meal, he got minestrone and I got tomato basil. First off, the garlic bread is delicious and they keep filling your basket. My soup was creamy and rich, with chunks of fresh tomato. Very delicious. My bf's minestrone was basically vegetable soup and he added a little salt, but otherwise claimed it was very good. Our pasta dishes were exceptional. The tomato sauce is rich and thick, the chicken cutlet I got was excellent and his lasagna was fresh and delicious. With the Entertainment card, his meal was free, so it was a great deal. I would definitely try this place again!

This is a smorgasbord, piles of nondescript pastas with three choices of sauces. Need to fill your gullet with multiple carbs? Here's the place.

Some like that, maybe for you?

Service is great and attentive and the bang for your buck is astounding.

Just tried Francelli's for the first time tonight. It definitely won't be the last. Pastas were delicious (basil penne, fettucine carbonara). All the other standards plus more are available, including pizzas. Atmostphere was very comfortable. No wait, friendly staff, prompt service, good food. It seems they also have an all-you-can-eat spaghetti special on Monday and Tuesday nights ($5.95, with soup/salad and yummy garlic bread included).

Pros: tasty food, good service

Cons: carbonara was a little too spicy

Francelli's is one of our favorite local Italian restaurants in the area. The same servers are always working, and they all have great relationships with the regulars, but treat newcomers with the same familiarity and hospitality. Portions are large, garlic bread is fantastic, and they have a large and interesting menu. TRY THE LASAGNA! It is killer! Their pizza and calzones are also delicious-leftovers don't last long in our fridge.

The only problem is parking; we usually end up parking on the street nearby.

I have driven by Francellis many times and always saw many diners so I thought it must be good. How ever was I wrong. I ordered the raviolis and garlic bread only to find over boiled raviolis swimming in a tomato sauce that was like water. The meat raviolis were flavorless and not worth eating. So bland that I threw them out. The garlic bread was greasy. It was more like Texas Toast that will just sit in the stomach for days upon days. Since then, I have not returned to Francellis nor do I plan to.
