The Chicken Lady

I come here whenever I can. The service is the best - everyone is extremely friendly. I usually rock the thai sticks with mac and cheese, although Ive had everything on the menu and its all tasty. The desserts are also great - with the "cheese pie" being my favorite (when they have it).

This place reminds you of when you knew your neighbor and the restaurants in your community and the owner/operators. The food is absolutely wonderful! The attitude of the owner and employees is what makes this place a great surprise--great food and a wonderful atmosphere. The service is exceptional and the food is out of this world delicious!!!

Can't wait to return to the west side and visit. We always have the best time and try to sample everything on the menu. We love talking about all the TV Shows and Movie Sets they cater. Bring us what ever they ordered today on" 2 and A Half Men".

The food is wnderful for lunch, and even better for dinner (box dinners are a time saver) You always receive better than home cooking without the time or expense. Their pastas are heavenly.;

I LOVE this place. Everything on the menu is truly fantastic. I love the chicken thai sticks with baked beans and macaroni and cheese. I love how a lot of the items come with a nice healthy side salad and corn bread. Also love the BBQ chicken wraps and the tenders pasta salad. The prices are very reasonable, and the people who work there are so nice. You must try The Chicken Lady!

She throws down! It's a mix of Southern country food with Beverly Hills style. I love how her food is not so greesy but yet fullfilling. You almost hate to eat there during the day because once your done you want to go to sleep, lol.

So...on behalf of myself, and yes my grandmother, Etty, we are huge fans of the wraps and the desserts! Our very favorite is the carrot cake but all the desserts thus far have been incredible. On the wraps, we normally order the Grilled Chicken Wraps. With our without the dressing, it tastes fresh and incredible!! I guess my priorities may be messed up putting desserts first...

It starts with the owner who is so warm and welcoming, she always asks if this is your first time and usually will throw in a taste of something you didn't order so she can hook you in. The food is amazing. I love the Thai Stick and the Mesquite Chicken. But I have to say everything I have tried has been amazing. If she has it you have to try the cobbler--wow. We eat there all the time and are never disappointed. If you haven't been go you will become a fan.

The whole place is so cozy, it's like walking into my mom's kitchen. And the food, OMG! My mom's mac-n-cheese isn't this good, and my mom can cook!! Her chicken is so good that my 4 year old was making up songs about his chicken tenders while he was eating them. Now that's a compliment!!

The absolute best chicken tenders we have ever tasted. Just placed our first order for delivery. Two of us were awed by everything about our chicken tender lunch. An amazing amount of food at a more-than-reasonable price. Two chicken wraps, one of us was underwhelmed and quite jealous after tasting a bite of the tenders. The peach cobbler had everyone within smelling distance clamoring for some. NOPE! Already planning on trying a different tender lunch tomorrow. Highly recommend.

I discovered this liitle gem of a resteraunt on a recent businessw trip.I had not heard of The Chicken Lady before but decided to stop in after shopping on Melrose.
The food and prices are amazing, the owners are full of personality and just wonderful...I usually don't write reviews, but I felt I had to....this place in my new favorite and I will never come to L.A. again without visiting...My only suggestion is ...Open a Chicken Lady franchise in Temecula please!

This place is a treasure to visit in LA and eat in. lt's no wonder this ladies food is so in demand by all including the stars. When l am back in Los Angeles l as a visitor from the UK l will be back eating there. The ladies got style and real real taste, try it and remember to phone up and book it so your sure of a table.

This place has the best selection of chicken ever! Whether its the juicy Thai Chicken sticks, the tender Grilled Herb Chicken, or the ridiculously tasty and best Chicken Ceasar sandwiches you will find, ever! You can't go wrong here, especially with their prices. The Chicken Lady is a rare gem, and heard they recently just opened to the public. Try them! The whole office marks The Chicken Lady on their calendar weekly and make sure they're here when we are catered from The Chicken Lady. The Chicken Lady has great food, at reasonable prices. I love the food and the services is great. The portion of food are large and it?s always fresh. The Chicken Lady herself comes out and greets you with a smile. The cafe is clean and very quaint. It has a French feel to it, with cozy decor and a casual atmosphere.
It's only open from 11:00am to 2:30pm, so you have to schedule it into your lunch time hours but it?s worth it!

Be warned, once you taste the Tenders and/or the Thai sticks you will be hooked.

Living In LA for 5 years now, I don't expect anything of quality for reasonable prices, until I came to Chicken Lady!

I tried the chicken caesar baked sandwich, and my boyfriend who's a vegetarian had the veggie one. 2 meals, with salads and the best mac and cheese I've ever tasted all came to less than $15 bucks!
It's fantastic home cooked taste right in the big city! It was so good we came back the very next day for lunch!

As a business man I Travel from Moreno Valley to LA on occasion. One day I was hungry, so I stopped in "The Chicken Lady" I tried the Tenders & Mac for the ride home. Man! they were sooooo goood. I almost pulled off the 60 freeway twice to go back and get some more for my family. The bottom line, we'll be back!

This place is great! I stopped in a few months ago for lunch and met the owner Francine, who is so nice she even threw in a free cobbler from her catering job in the morning. I had the chicken bake and the thai chicken skewers based on these reviews and the ingredients were so fresh and the chicken so expertly prepared I was not let down at all, albeit these dishese are definitely not low-cal. The only drawback is the lack of parking in that structure and the fact that I can rarely go there because of the scheduling.

The Chicken Lady is at it again. On Fridays she usually has specials that at are not on her daily menu. Here?s an example of her Friday specials entrees: Barbecued Baby Back Ribs, Barbecued Chicken, Barbecued Beef Brisket, Mesquite Roasted Chicken, homemade mashed potatoes with gravy, and collard greens
Desserts: Individual Peach Cobblers, Apple Cobblers, and Apple turnovers are a delight to your palate.
You must try one of these entrees or desserts and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
In addition she?s now open on Saturdays from 11:00am ? 2:30pm. You might consider allowing her to cater your Super Bowl party or any other social gathering.

I too, passed by The Chicken Lady many times wanting to go in. Once my husband and I made it to the parking lot and then left because we don't like valet parking. Finally, on the way to walking to the dentist I went in and it smelled delicious and I ordered. I?ve been going to The Chicken Lady Cafe for a little over four months. From the first visit I felt like I was an appreciated customer. The first thing I ordered was the Chicken Caesar baked sandwich with Mac and cheese. It was the best food.
The food tastes awesome. It is quality food with large portions and it is a good value.
If you work or live in the Beverly Center area you should definitely give it a try. Open Mon. ? Fri. at 11:00 a.m. for just a few hours for lunch. I like walking over there and eating it in the restaurant or taking it to go. The Chicken Thai sticks and corn bread are superb!

her signature chicken are the thai sticks. i never knew white meat could be so tasty. that alone is worth the drive over there. the cafe is small and cozy and all the employees are nice. the neighbors in the area are lucky to have her around. if i could i would eat there everyday. Francine your fantastic!!!

Thank You Chicken Lady!!!!! The best food ever, we use them to cater all of our events. They have a wonderful variety of food, that ranges from the best chicken (you have ever had in your life) all the way to delicious veggie dishes! The service is excellent, i highly recomend them if not for catering you next party then just dine in the restraunt, you wont be sorry!!!!!

We live in Agoura Hills and we enjoy our trips to the westside. One of the places we always stop at is the Chicken Lady on San Vicente. They have the best comfort food you have ever had. The chicken tenders and mac & cheese are to die for. Our daughter is a vegetarian and loves the wraps and salads. I've never been one to write a review of anything. Trust me, this is the real deal! Wish you guys would open a place in Agoura.

Everything on the menu is delicious ! The specialties are unique and incredible !!!!
THE CHICKEN LADY, herself, is not only a beautiful woman, but has a great personality and is AMAZING in the kitchen!!! Unlike other places I have dined, THE CHICKEN LADY takes a personal approach with patrons by coming by your table and saying "hello." One day, on her own accord, she actually brought me a sampling of her homemade desserts...Yummmmmmm!!!

I kept passing the Chicken Lady, kind of afraid as a vegetarian to go in. After gathering up my nerve I went in and asked for a chicken tenders pasta salad without the chicken tenders. It was huge and delicious and no one looked at me like a "wacky" militant vegetarian activist. Since then tried the Veggie Parmesan Caesar Bake (amazing with artichoke hearts and melted cheddar), Mac 'n' Cheese and was sent back to the office today with Thai Cauliflower Satay (blew my veggie mind). Everyone on staff seems genuinely happy and you can tell that Francine loves being in the kitchen. It comes through in every bite.

I loved her chicken! It was so moist and the tender and Francine, the owner, is so sweet. The service was great and I'm so happy she opened her restaurant so now she can share her yummy treats with the rest of the world and not just the film and television people!
