Went to Don Cuco's before it burned down & I was not impressed. Decided to try it once again (mostly to check out their banquet area for an up-coming party for 75-80 people), and although the service was okay and the place looks really nice, I was not impressed with their menu options. I never have seen a Mexican food restaurant be so skimpy with the rice & beans! The meals themselves were okay, chips were cold, salsa was just passing, and the prices were a little high for what you get. I have to give this place a 2 star rating because I don't think we will be going back & I would not recommend it...as for our party, we'll take it someplace else...

My husband and i have been here a few times. Not horribly impressed. I love the environment...dimmly lit, nice bar....BUT COMPLETELY OVER PRICED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My husband and i ordered a drink each and two entrees and gucamole and somehow it totaled almost 90 bucks. we thought, wow.....we should have gone and had a few drinks somewhere else and then minimally ordered our dinner. This wasnt the first time it felt overpriced. Once it was me, my husband, mother in law and two kids and the bill was almost 150 when all we each had was an entree and 3 drinks total. I would love this place if it werent so over priced. it's just not worth it. we haven't been back since

"DON CUCO" I enjoyed it, its a wonderful place for family and friends, It is dark in there. I went for luch with some co- workers and it felt like it was 10pm. Other than that margaritas are great & the food is awesome!

I've been going to Don Cuco's in Canyon Country for years and I and my family think it's a fantastic restaurant with great food and great service. The Pina Coladas, Margaritas and Fajitas are to die for. Great place I would highly recommend.

I just got back from a luncheon at Don Cuco's in Canyon Country. It took 1 hour and ten minutes to get served. The food was only warm and tasteless. The menu is very limited and the prices, given the location and poor food and service, is very high. I have spoken to others who have the same low opinion of Don Cuco's Restaurant.

I love going to this restaurant. The service is outstanding!!! The margarita's are wonderful and the taco grandes are out of this world. The prices are reasonable. They have great banquet dinners.

I absolutely love this restaurant! The service is awesome. You get seated right away & they are quick to bring a menu w/chips & salsa. I love it that you don't have to wait when you're starving! Although they have become a ltlle pricy over the past few years, they're still worth it!

We have our end of the year dance banquet at Don Cuco's. We have a room and then we have a complete buffet of food. It even includes their wonderful desserts. Their staff is wonderful and the food is even better.

Just after Thanksgiving 2005, a fire destroyed the Camp Plenty location of Don Cuco. In mid-2006 they opened back up and it's better than ever.

The decor is great: strong leather furniture with chunky wood, decor straight from Mexico and an overall rustic look that really suits the place.

The bar is in its own room with an adjacent patio. We almost always eat in the bar unless we have kids in our party. All our favorite people are back and Jose makes a mean margarita. If you want one that really packs a whallop, order the melon margarita.

The menu has been revised and I do miss the monthly specials, but the quesadilla (al carbon) is a real winner as is the flan for dessert. I recently had a house salad (with cilantro-jalapeno dressing) and a bowl of the tortilla soup and vow to have that again next time. Both were great.

The bar is stocked with about 6 flat screen TVs so it's a great place to watch a good game. The restaurant is equally nicely decorated and seats large parties comfortably. As if that' s not enough, there's also a separate banquet room that's frequently in use. I've never eaten in there but snuck in for a couple of peeks and can note that the decor is consistent with the rest of the place.

Service in the bar (unless you're sitting AT the bar) can be a little dicey but it's still worth going there

Don Cuco is a great, loud Mexican food restaurant. They serve wonderful food and generous portions. Their prices are average for a Mexican restaurant. They have a bar area and a dinning area. They also have a banquet room which you can rent out for special occassions. They have a large parking area and are located right off Soledad Canyon Rd. The people there are friendly and add alittle bit of culture to a great restaurant. They have great Margaritas. Chips and Salsa come complimentary and their guacamole is superb! Enjoy!
