I don't know about you, but I still like Father's Office burgers better. I'm not saying that Tompkin's burgers aren't good, but I do think they're a bit overpriced for what they are. I understand that we're in a down economy right now, so

Moved into Westchester 9 months ago and found my neighborhood bar! I agree with JonnyO the burgers are absolutely awesome. They rival Father's Office in Santa Monica. Staff are great and friendly no matter how busy it gets. The only drawback I encountered is they don't serve coffee, but I guess you don't go there for a Jolt of Java!

I stumbled upon this fine restaurant a couple months back and life has not been the same since. Niman Ranch burgers are exceptional. Boutique tap beer selection and knowledgeable bar staff make this the perfect location to grab a burger and beer with a buddy and watch the game.

Pros: Great burgers, knowledgeable bar staff, great tap beer

I have to admit that maybe I'm a stick in the mud...someone who resists change...because Fireside used to be my FAVORITE after-work spot for dirt cheap appetizers and drink specials. I spent many a night in the ripped vinyl booths with coworkers, enjoying $2.50 wine and all the fried food I could imagine. The owners are extremely friendly, warm and welcoming as well, which is sometimes hard to find.

However, on a recent swing through town, I decided to go back to check it out since I'd heard there had been changes. I was literally blown away. What was once a cramped, dark place is now a beautiful, upscale bar with flat screen tvs, a killer sound system and gourmet food and drink offerings.

While I will always have a soft spot for the Fireside of yesterday, the new one definitely deserves a visit - a fun, hip place in Westchester, believe it or not!

Great place, run by 2 guy's that have been in the bar and music business in LA for quite some time. Great place to watch Football or any major sports games. Every seat faces a TV or watch it on the big screen. Thursday nights is of the hook when Loyola University has Fret night, be there early as the line gets long after 11pm. Any day of the week is cool, sometimes its just locals but since it's the local univesity bar there are always hot babe bound to show up. This bar turned from the old guy's local bar into the hottest spot in Westchester!
