If you ask me about pizza there isnt many that i do not like, however theirs was amazing. They also have some pretty good wine. I just love pizza. I went there with a bigger group of people and they were accomedating for us, sometimes people get annoyed with bigger groups but they were nice and friendly to us. I would definitley go again.

this restaurant has really good pizza. their service is fast nice. they also have a great happy hour. the drinks are cheap and pizza is half off. its monday through friday 5-7. great deal.

This place has a pretty good happy hour special (1/2 off pizza & beer).
If you can't make it to happy hour but have the late night munchies this place is great (open till 1 or 2 am).
PROS: Good food
CONS: No parking & small locale

Manny's Pizza in Pasadena has really great food but their service has much to be desired. I've been there many times and every time, it's taken entirely too long to get food, drinks, and menus! It's not that Manny's has a lack of people, either. Many times I've seen hosts and hostesses just standing around. I'd suggest calling Manny's and getting your pizza delivered or go for pick up unless you seriously want to be there for like an hour or more. Luckily, the last time we went my friends and I got involved in a highly political conversation and we wanted to be there for awhile so I didn't quite notice. Get the pizza if you go. It's really good.

Manny's serves a great pizza. Their thin crusts remid me of my travel's through Italy. I love their Village Salad. They conveniently deliver free of charge, an added bonus.

ok, the best thing I can say about this place is that it serves decent italian food (the basics with a tiny little bit of flair) and has a fantastic flower arrangement at the hostess station. The worst thing about this place is the service: as many others have stated, the service is ghastly; our waitress wasn't terrible, she was very personable and almost attentive: but the manager/owner lady was gruff and dismissive, when we were trying to get a table! It was a busy saturday night, but I suspect with a few more dismissed customers, they'll have ample time to attend to their dwindling number of customers.

Great for takeout

I have to admit that I've never eaten at the restaurant on Fair Oaks...but I can tell you I've had their take out several times. I take jewelry classes in Pasadena on Saturdays and when we will often order lunch for delivery from Manny's. Their cheese tortellini with meat sauce is more than enough for a lunch serving, and they always bring some bread. Once I ordered a side salad, but it was a little too much food. I've also had the provolone and avocado sandwich with a salad. It's a good lunch portion...but not so heavy that I fall asleep while trying to solder silver during the afternoon session.

Worst service ever...

Perhaps the service and food have gone downhill since this place opened (and the rave reviews were posted). But I went on a quiet night, could not have been more than five tables occupied, and although we were seated promptly, it took forever to get someone to take our order. Then we had a problem with the pizza, and was told by another waiter that he couldn't help us, and we would have to wait for our server. And wait we did.... At no point were we asked how if we needed anything, and then it took an additional 20 minutes to pay the bill. I was so frustrated that I went up to our "server" and asked if he was the manager. And surprisingly he admitted that he was. I told him I understand that they were preparing to close, but that this was some of the worst service ever. To which he said, "ok, thanks." Not even an apology. Now if the manager gives you such poor service, I cannot imagine that he really wants any of your business. You think he would work harder to get and keep customers since the food is nothing to write home about. But no, not interested. Guess he gets enough tourists that he doesn't need any business from the locals. There are dozens of Italian restaurants within a two block radius. I would say, save your time and money and look elsewhere. Between the food and service, you're just wasting an evening in what is otherwise a great neighborhood.
Pros: None, unless you like mediocre food.
Cons: Service and food.

The Pizzeria atmosphere was dim (romantic and lots of 80?s music). But the service was HORRIBLE! The waiter led us to our seats and handed us menus. But then he waited over 20 minutes to come and get our order. The bus boy even noticed that we had been sitting there for an excessive amount of time without being offered water or being asked for our order. Never was offered nor did we get any bread at the table even though the other tables around us did. The place was not busy only about 5 tables around (no big groups either). We ordered the Manny?s Special and there was suppose to be Italian Meatballs, Italian Sausage, Salami, Mushrooms and Olives. The toppings were so scarce that when we asked the waiter/ Manager where the Italian Meatballs where and he had to take off his glasses and use the pizza server to poke at the pizza for 30 seconds before he was able to find the Italian Meatballs. If you ever had an Italian Meatball you would know that you would not have to poke around for it (they should be fairly big and visible). The toppings were almost non existent except for the ungodly amount of mozzarella cheese on the pizza.
I also noticed that the other reviews were old. But not too much has changed as far as the BAD SERVICE. We had to ask for everything at least twice and still got ignored. I can't imagine what the service would be like when and if the place was ever busy.
Save your time and money and explore the other eateries in the neighborhood.
Pros: Great neighborhood.
Cons: BAD SERVICE, BAD SERVICE, BAD SERVICE.

You'll NEVER order crappy pizza again!

We just moved to Pasadena and have found the most amazing little pizzeria in Manny's. We have only ever ordered delivery, but the pizzas are AWESOME and I have to also highly recommend the hot vegeterian pita (yum) and the greek salad. Sadly, they recently took the LA pizza off the menu -- it was a very tasty mexican spin on an Italian classic. Manny's Special pizza is also delicious -- meaty, salty, and all around scrumptious. The people who have said this restaurant is no good or blad obviously don't have tastebuds. Try it for yourself -- you won't be dissapointed!
Pros: GREAT pizza, awesome sandwiches, tasty salads
