I was impressed by the extreme ignorance of the people posting things about this school. Exactly what qualifies you to determine that parents are not involved and do not care about their children's education? You should be ashamed of yourself! Have you any idea of the problems in this community and the budget crisis our local school face? Why don't you get off the couch and become a volunteer at a public school? Or better yet fight for better public education?

This would be the first year my daughter attends Cesar Chavez Elementary, she is in kindergarten, so far the schools seems good to me and my daughter is learning more and more each day. The teachers are wonderful and most of them bilingual in english and spanish wich is a big plus everyone should learn both languages in order to understand where people are coming from. As per the two comments before me, is not the neighborhoods the schools are in or that the teachers are not getting the job done is in the parents motivation is the main key wether is in english or spanish, and the kids will take it from there, some of the students might not know how to speak english well but isnt that what schools are for? No one is the victim here, teachers know what they are getting into before they are hired, if they do not have patience towards students, then maybe they choose the wrong career. I do recommend this school so that kids and parents learns other languages and about cultures not just their own.

I have also heard many bad things about this specific school. It is located in an area that is not great for learning. The community of people do not seem to care if their children are recieving a decent educcation. This elementay school is very low with test scores and prepring students to go to high school. I think the teachers try their best, but the students have to grasp a fundamental knowledge of the English language before learning any other subjcet. I hope that someone can help this school in test scores and atmosphere.

This is a bad San Francisco Elementary school, I would NOT recommend it! Most of the pupils are Spanish speaking (some barely speak English and others its their second language.) Communication with the students can get pretty hard for the teachers so the teachers kind of get frustrated and the school just doesnt get very good test scores. You can tell that a lot of parents dont even seem to care which doesnt create a very good learning environment. No recommendation ofr this one.
