California Seashell Co Inc

I have been buying seashells for craft purposes from this store since the 1980's and have always had luck finding what I need. The workers are very helpful, and the owners even gave me a bulk discount when I needed several hundred sanddollars for my daughters wedding reception. However, their prices are reasonable anyway and it's a nice local place to bring visitors from out of town.

I LOVE the shell store it's a fun place to find all kinds of things. Not just shell. They have Amazing glass works, little animal toys for children, jewelry (some made of shells and some not). They also have items made with shells and many more cute items. During Christmas time they also make very beautiful ornament's. Prices are also very very reasonable. When ever my God-kids come to visit it is the #1 store they want to go to.

Oh, yea, if you like the smell of dead fish and rotting sea life this is the place to go. After reading all these glowing reviews I made a special trip to check it out. I was overwhelmed by the stinking smell in the place form all the recently dead fish. It's not an ocean smell, I grew up by the beach I know the difference. Think public bathroom on the beach. Try the shell store in Laguna or Long Beach if you must but hold your nose if you plan on going to this one.

This place is also over run with little kids. Apparently, parents see it as a daycare instead of taking them to the real beach a block away.

We go to this shop every time we visit the Seal Beach pier, which is almost once a week. We found clever beachy gifts for all of our family and whenever we have an out of town guest this place is on our "have to go" list!

Just a short walk from the Seal Beach Pier you will find a great little shop. Tons of shells and other sea finds. Lots of fun decore items including signs, frames, tiles and much much more. Many items are VERY reasonably priced.
