Presidio Hills Golf Course can be so much more...

by Derek R.

Persido Hills offers an experience you can't find anywhere else and that is a safe enviornment to take your kids without worrying about getting hit up on from the foursome behind you. It's a shame the course has deteriorated so much over the years and is in desperate need of a face lift. The course has such a rich history in San Diego with the likes of Phil Michelson and Tiger Woods playing here in there youth. I would think the mayor teaming up with private industry would want to preserve this little course and make it something really special for not only today's youth but for the future of junior golf in San Diego.

P.S.. Had a hole in one there yesterday in front of my two girls, unfortunately my eight year old pointed out that I teed the ball up outside the tee markers. First hole in one turns out to be a par after my two stroke penalty. I guaranteed my girls learned never to tee it up outside the tee markers.... :)

Rough greens

by Audrey R. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 154

This is a fun little course to practice on. The greens need some work, they are very rough, so don't take your score here too seriously. This place gets a nice cool breeze from the ocean. Perfect golf weather. Great price for golf too!

Fun beginner course

by Joyce L. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 9,476

There's a very strong breeze that blows through this pitch and putt course, which sometimes knocks the flags over. It can be a little frustrating. However, overall this is a nice, easy, and fun course for beginning golfers looking to work on specific aspects of their game or just to have fun.

Pure beginners might enjoy this course. All others - stay away.

by Jason W. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,768

Beginners might get some use out of this 18 hole pitch and putt golf course, but anyone else will probably feel that they are wasting their time. The course isnt all that well maintained and theres a good chance of getting stuck behind a really slow group on the weekends. The teeny weeny unkept greens also arent very good practice for your short game or putting. On the plus side you dont need to make tee times.

PROS: Good for beginners.
CONS: Bad for everyone else.

Pitch and Putt

by Breene C. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 6,200

If you need to work on your short game, this is a great place. Every hole is par three, and most range from about 30-70 yards. It has a full 18 holes though. The lot isn't too big, so you don't need a cart, which is good because they don't have any. It's a fun and cheap place to work on your game, or just to have a good time.
