nice atmosphere

by Rita C. | insider Insider | Rank: 24,508

I guess if your someone who likes to go and sit in a bookstore to read it has a nice atmosphere to do so. Also, they have an enourmous selection of books so you can usually find what you want. The prices could be lower, although you get a discount card..but, I believe you have to purchase it...so, unless you purchase a lot of books, it isn't worth it since you can get a larger savings at one of the local stores.

A large bookstore with great selection.

by Arlene K. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,824

I like studying at the Borders because it's quiet and being surrounded by new books promotes a feeling of academia in me. This bookstore is kinda like a "megastore" with dvds, cds, as well as a cafe in addition to books. You could spend all day browsing the selection. If they dont have what you need they could order it for you as well.

They need more workers

by P V. | insider Insider | Rank: 23,560

They really need more workers here. Its a nice environment to lounge around in but when you can't find something, a sales associate is even harder to find. You almost always have to walk back to the information desk to get help. A few more people walking around would really help and leave less customers confused about where things are.

CUTE CAFE

by RYAN C. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 10,901

I HAD LUNCH HERE THE OTHER DAY WITH MY FRIEND AND WE HAD A BLAST. THE FOOD SELECTION ISNT THAT GREAT BUT WHAT SANDWHICHES AND DRINKS THEY OFFERED WERE VERY DELICIOUS AND FILLING. I DIDNT LIKE THAT THE NUTRITIONAL FACTS WERE NOT POSTED WHICH IS ILLIEGAL BUT THE FOOD AND GREAT EMPLOYEES MADE UP FOR IT. WE READ BOOKS ATE LUNCH AND FOOTED A 12$ BILL. IT WAS THE MOST FUN WE HAD IN A LONG TIME AND I WILL RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE!

Music, books, food

by Margaret D. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,288

This place is busy on weekend nights. Usually they have some kind of concert thing going on on Sat night (buy your lattes first, they won't use the noisy milk steamer while there's music played). They also have a wide selection of music to buy and you can order what they don't have. I also like their self-service computers so you can find things on your own.

Good all around store

by Chevy J.

this place is a really nice place to get a book, rent a movie, or grab a small bite to eat. they have a huge selection of books (they are primarilty a book store),but dont really have too many movies, so thats up to you. the food is mostly a light bite to eat while you read, nothing really that huge for lunch or dinner.

Shhhh

by Alana T. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,642

Borders is a good place to shop for books. It's also a nice place if you just want to get away and forget your problems. They have chairs that you can sit in and flip through the magazines or books. There is even a cafe incase you need some fuel while you're there. They also have a good selection of music. Their prices are close to other bookstores, they offer discount cards that can help bring it down. Parking is ok. Customer service is a little snooty, they seem to be too busy to be bothered to ask for help but they have little kiosks where you can basically help yourself.

Good store

by Hung N. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,311

Borders hasnt really been on my A-list of book stores, but its not bad either. They do a decent job with their store (even if its a little small compared to competitors) and they actually do have a lot of the latest books, and most of the time can hold them for you. The service is good and they are well trained (they can find any book for you), an overall good store.

OK

by Daniel G. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,975

I think that Borders Books Music and Cafe is an ok book store but i do not like their small selection of books and music. If I were to goto a bookstore, I would rather goto Barnes and Nobles

Borders

by Vanity C. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,621

This Borders is in a great shopping center - everything you need is right around you: Target, Coffee Bean, Old Navy, Mimi's... etc.
They have a decent selection of books, and their music choices are impressive. Their cafe is decent sized, but often very crowded. It is not easy to find a place to sit and study or read, unfortunately.

Great Selection!

by Anne D. | insider Insider | Rank: 15,524

This Borders has a superb selection of newspapers, magazines, and of course, books. Also has a coffee/pastrie area. It has a very good childrens story time on weekday mornings too, I think Wednesdays.

PROS: fun storytime weekday mornings

by Sheena Y. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,484

Border's Books Music and Cafe is a great book store. If you love to read and have a passion for music and coffee then come and enjoy. You can do all three and their prices are very resonable. I love this store and i know that you will too.

The selection of books at Borders is amazing. Borders has books about almost anything you would need. It also has a very quiet surrounding and it is very fun to go there and pick up or read a book there.

Good book selection

by Macy T. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,458

Borders has a really good selection of books for school and just for reading on your own. They do have a music selection, but it isn't as good compared to Best Buy or Circuit City.

Cool Place

by Alvaro R. | insider Insider | Rank: 20,198

The best part of borders is the music and the cafe, i could care less about the books. But its a cool place to hang out and listen to some music, do some work, or drink some coffee.

by Max A. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,255

This place is a great place to find books you enjoy or ones you need for school. You can also find lots of music that you might enjoy. But sometimes im disappointed when they do not have some of the more obscure bands i was looking for.

A pretty nice store with knowledgable people

by Kimberly N. | insider Insider | Rank: 13,853

Borders is a wonderful place to get some nice books or other sophisticated-type of materials. It seems like a more mature version of Barnes and Noble and has either the same or lower pricing than them. The staff is nice and always manages to greet everyone when they enter, and sometimes they have really cheap books that I had interest in. A pretty good book store overall.

Over priced

by Eddie G. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,208

Borders has a great selection of books, music, and DVDs, but all of their products are overpriced. I would much rather go to Best Buy and pick up a DVD for 10 bucks cheaper.

My place for reading

by Matthew E. | insider Insider | Rank: 15,279

Everytime I need a new book, I always drop by Borders. I think its better than Barnes and Nobles, because its more home-like and I feel more comfortable just grabbing a book and getting lost there. I think their pricing is better and I almost always leave with more then I thought I was going to get. Borders is the place to be.

Need something new to read?

by John N. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,919

Borders has a great library of books, from bestsellers to those that are less popular. Their sales are great, grab a few books for reduced prices and sometimes save even more. The pricing is great compared to some other book stores, but I did have trouble finding one book that I originally went to find. The store is friendly, quiet and soothing. They even let you have a little preview read if you want. Just take a seat and get to it.
