Lynne's Brazilian Wax 2nd to NONE!!
by smellzgood
Lynne is by far the best waxer I've ever been to! Her brazilian wax is almost painless. Also, she gives the best facial I have ever had: meticulous, thorough, pampering and relaxing!!
I was a first-time wax-ee when I met Lynne a few years ago, and she put my fears to rest. She's kind and gentle, and expert at Brazilian waxing!! If you're afraid of the brazilian wax, give her a try, you'll be bikini-ready in no time!! Be sure to book in advance, as you can imagine, she gets busy!! Also, if you need products for your skin, she will tell you what you should use, without selling you stuff you don't need.
Pros: almost painless, affordable
Cons: none

LOVE MY LASH EXTENTIONS
by DZUKO
I just got a full set of eyelash extentions at BEBA during spa week for $100. I couldn't be more happy with the results! The extentions are PERFECT, just the way I imagined them to be. I have had numerous people stop and compliment my lashes. The girls at beba were so sweet and welcoming. I will definetly be going back!!!!!!! Highly recommend this place!
Pros: friendly, Natural lash extentions
Cons: none

Paid for a full set, left with a half set..
by kelsu7
Well I hate to be a dissenter, after all the good reviews, but these were absolutely the worst eyelash extensions I have ever had! First of all, the lady who did my extensions was not very nice. I wear glasses and they fell on the floor right at the start. The beautician never offered to pick them up for me and I was worried about my $600 glasses being broken or stepped on the entire time. When I asked if I could use the toilet in the middle of the session, she nearly snapped at me and told me that no, I could not. The room was tiny, and not ventilated so the glue fumes made me feel funny, but she kept the bottle of glue right next to my cheek when I mentioned the fumes being a tad strong. From the beginning, I told her that I like a lot of eyelashes on the outside corners of my eyes, but when I looked in the mirror when she finished, she had only put eyelashes on the middle of my eyes. When I commented on that, she said she could not put them on the outside edges because they would fall out. She very quickly ran off to help another client, so I did not get to explain that no matter if they fall out, I wanted to walk out the door feeling good about what I was paying for. She literally left the inside and outside quarter of an inch of my eyelashes bare. It made my eyes look smaller and the extensions really stood out as being fake. When I got home and showed my husband, before I said a word, he said, " that looks weird, why aren't there any eyelashes added on the edges?" So, basically, I walked out with a half set of lashes when I paid for a full set. I thought about going to another salon to get the rest filled in, but was running short on time since I was leaving the next day to go on vacation. It didn't really matter in the end because 90% of the eyelashes fell out the first week and they were all completely gone in two weeks even though I took exceptionally good care of them. I called the salon to complain, but they did not want to help me out. I will certainly not be back and I hope this review helps others to make up their minds before throwing away their money.
One more thing, when I called to make the appointment, I asked if I could get a spray-on tan with the eyelash extensions, and the girl on the phone said, oh sure, we do it all the time. Later, during my appointment, the beautician told me that no, I could not or the lashes would fall out. Since I was leaving the next day for vacation, I had to go without a tan. I guess the girl on the phone was just trying to give me a sales pitch. What a shame that people working there are not better informed.
Pros: None!
Cons: Terrible eyelash extensions!

AMAZINGLY NATURAL LASH EXTENSIONS
by JML23
So I just wanted to tell everyone on the amazing lash extensions I got at Beba Beauty! I came in to get my lashes done during a promotion and have been getting them done ever since. The lashes look so natural! I LOVE THEM! If you have ever considered getting lashes extensions come to BEBA!

I love Beba's Agi!!! She is amazing!!! Agi is the best for eyelashes, waxing, facials and everything in between!!!
by cagirl1234
There is only one name you need to know when going here...AGI. She is an absolute gem! I have been coming to Agi with all of my beauty needs for almost 3 years & I can honestly say that I would follow her anywhere. I get compliments on my eyelash extensions literally daily...strangers have stopped me on the street! And Agi's waxing is quick, affordable and the least painful I've found. I have referred so many friends to her because I truly believe that she is the best. I know it sounds like I'm raving, but I really can't say enough good things about this woman. Going to see her makes me feel like I am catching up with an old friend. The only problem is that I think her reputation is getting out! But I promise you, Agi is well worth the wait!!!
Pros: Agi, warm atmosphere, affordable, sanitary
Cons: none

Just OKAY
by jeshykah
I went to Beba a couple of times. They're pretty quick, but not very private. They kind of leave the door slightly open while waxing which can be a little embarrassing for those who are shy.
Pros: quick
Cons: privacy

Great place! I love it
by MichelleCarbone
Based upon a friend's recommendation, I tried Beba Beauty. Agi is terrific - facial and waxing is wonderful. And great value too. Parking behind the salon is convenient.

Mediocre Facial
by Mom2SJ
I anticipated a more spa-like experience, but the reality didn't live up to my expectations. Amenities like full doors and a waiting area were missing. (The "doors" were just half-doors open at bottom and top). I went for a facial, and the aesthetician in and out for most of the facial - no paraffin for hands or extras like that - just one very quick massage of the neck and head. At one point the receptionist came in and interrupted the session. It was a mediocre facial - not worth $80. You can go to Burke Williams for $105. For $50 maybe I would go back.

Day of Beauty not as advertised
by lzehnder
Five of us had traveled from out of town to get together at Beba for their Day of Beauty. When I made the reservations, I specifically asked what is included for the $250 Day of Beauty, and was told the items you have listed above. I was assured that all 5 of us would be out of there by 3 p.m. The owner obviously had not planned well, because we didn't received all the services promised (even though we were still charged for them), and were still there much longer than we were supposed to be.
None of us were given the body wrap or the hydrating body treatment and we were there until 4:30 p.m. The facial, massage, and manicure/pedicure were great. I would suggest just paying for those items individually. The esthetician who gave the facials also applied the make-up. She's great at facials, but terrible at makeup! We all left with big rosy cheeks, and had to go back to the hotel to reapply our own.
Also, don't let them arrange for a wash & style with the hairdresser next door. She's way over priced and I guarantee you won't be happy with it.
We all thought we would be ready for a night on the town, but after spending 7 hours (most of the time sitting in the entrance with our robes on waiting for service), we had to rush around to fix our hair and makeup before we could go out.
It was very disappointing for all of us. If I ever plan to spend the day at a spa again, I will not go back there. If I'm ever in LA and need a facial or massage, I would consider it.
Pros: Employees are well trained at their jobs
Cons: Don't keep their promises

Best affordable, good wax in LA
by joannajpark
I've tried a bunch of waxing places but Beba Beauty is the best choice for affordable, good Brazilian waxes. I always get one with Aggie! She's nice, makes you feel comfortable, and tries to make the experience less painful and awkward. Also, they are very accommodating to your schedule. They don't open until 10:00 AM but they've always squeezed me in before when I'm super busy.
Pros: Affordable, accommodating to your schedule
Cons: None

i have been in la for 5 years now, and for the first 3 i tried countless waxing salons. I found beba beauty from citysearch and saw that allure had recommended them for waxing, and they were right, its the best.
I only go to julia, the owner...i have had some not so plesant experiences with the others who work there.
Pros: good waxing

This place is amaaaazing!
by mesolinda
OK, so I've been going to this place for years. Recently, I stopped coming in as often, due to a hectic traveling schedule my work has me on. So, I cheated on my ladies at Beba. Well, I got what I deserved. I kept on trying to compare all the services I got to the ones I recieved at Beba, and well, nothing came close. Needless to say, I back with my tail between my legs begging for forgivness. All I have to say, is I learned my lesson. They kick butt in anything from their bikini waxes to their facials. And I guess they recently got a spray tanning system. I'm not usually into fake tans, mostly because I always fear Im going to turn out orange. Not here. The girl that sprayed me used a hand gun in order to customize the tan to my body. The color came out beautiful and super even. And they only charge 50 bucks for a single session. Ive seen it other places for like 75 a pop! I ended up buying a series @ 35 per spray! So now I am now a die hard Beba Beauty customer and fan. Enough said. Period.
Pros: bountiful parking, great experienced staff, wonderful experience

Do NOT go for a Brazilian Wax!
by slinvenice
I have to agree with the other review regarding the lack of cleanliness of this place. I was desperate for a wax before vacation and went to Beba and as soon as I walked in, I should have listened to my inner voice and walked out. The room was not tidy and she didnt close the door when I reclined to bare all. She continued to talk to her friend on the other side of the room. The waxing was painful and it usually never is. I'm not sure if she used the same stick to apply wax but I remember thinking that this was wrong. A few days later noticed bumps. I freaked, thinking I had caught a staph infection or some weird virus from the wax. I went to my dermatologist and she told me it was the result of a bad wax job, broken hairs were left and the hair follicles got infected. Be warned, this place might be fine for other services but for a bikini wax or brazilian wax, I strongly urge you to reconsider and go elsewhere.

Hygene!!!???
by uglyduckling1
Ok, let me say this first: I was happy with the waxing result I got. It was very quick and relatively painless. The lady was very likable too, even though she tried to get me to have more areas waxed. She's nice overall.
HOWEVER, they use a butter knife (i don't know how else to describe it) over and over again for everyone!!! I was horrified after I got up from the bed! I will never go back because I don't want to get a disease or an infection. In my opinion, this place is not sanitary enough. And please don't say the bacteria or whatever dies in high temps. How hard is it to use disposable sticks?! I won't be back.

Not impressed
by AnonAF
I visited Beba on my b-day May 2006. What I noticed first is that theyre not very good at returning calls. That didn't agree with me. Theres no receptionist, so they get back to you when they can or in my case not at all. I had to call 3x to reach someone and arrange my first appt. I had an $80 facial; it was good. I had eyelash extensions: disappointed. I spent $150 on lash extensions for little difference and many excuses. After two days, a few lashes came out, so I called to arrange a solution. They called back a few days later and rescheduled me. I got a little attitude for complaining, but it was worth having them done right. Based on the fact they fixed the problem, I'd recommend them, but I wouldn't go back myself. I didn't feel comfortable there.
Pros: Good facial
Cons: Disorganized, Attitude

by mitaliwadekar
I would highly recommend Beba beauty for facials. I had a great experience here with Lynn. She was highly skilled and studied my skin type in detail. Then she used products and facial techniques which were best for my skin.
She also helped me make a daily skin routine at home. I am goung there again after 2 weeks. i cant wait!
Pros: professional, friendly, skillfull

Great experience!
by chris273
I don't usually post things like this on websites, but after getting all the compliments on my lash extensions I thought that everyone else can benefit from my experience. My lashes look very natural and thicker. I was always the girl with short lashes, but not any more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aggie did a great job!
Pros: friendly, good prices, clean

Loyal customer for years
by castroverde
I have been a loyal customer's of Julia's for the past few years after reading the writeup in Allure. I recommend her and her staff to all my friends and co-workers. I've tried a few different places throughout the years, but I always end up going back to Julia because of her skill, reliability and personality. It's always a joy to see her eventhough the experience of a brazilian may not be the most pleasant. She always knows my tastes (grooming wise) and creates the most immaculate brow. I've never had reason to complain as she's always done a great job, leaving me completely satisfied every time I visit the salon. I definately recommend the facials and the microdermabrasion. Overall, great prices, great service and they are always considerate of your time if you have an extremely busy schedule.
Pros: Late appointments, Great Prices, Best bikini in town
Cons: None

My new favorite spa!
by kandiso
Im always envying my friends eyebrows so she gave me a Beba gift certifcate for my birthday. I love her this place was awesome. Julia was really sweet and funny and sculpted my eyebrows to perfection. I really looked different when she was done in a good way.
Also did the European facial. My skin was RADIANT at the end. Have to admit the extraction portion wasnt much fun because the facialist said I had a ton of blackheads but she gave me great advice about cleaning and exfoliating my face when Im home.
Definitely going back for another facial in a month. Also want to try the eyelash extension for a big event I have coming up.
Pros: Julia, good parking , great atmosphere

Years of GREAT SERVICE
by labutterfly
Although I've been going to Beba Beauty for almost 10 years, I've never had an opportunity to share a review until now. This is, by far, the best skin care salon in LA! I've enjoyed almost all the treatments here over the years - face, body and waxing. All are top-notch! Julia, Lynne and everyone is wonderful, kind and professional. Lynne can relax even a first time bikini waxer! Reasonable prices and a staff that goes out of their way to accomodate! You'll be so happy at Beba!
Pros: helpful, friendly, relaxed
Cons: sometimes very busy

TERRIFIC EXPERIENCE
by angelaturner
I've been going to Julia at Beba Beauty for ALL of my beauty needs for almost 5 years. Facials, full leg and bikini wax, underarm wax, brow and lip waxes. The services are always professionally done with care and detail. Today, I even went to Aggie (spelling?) at Beba...and she was terrific. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Beba and I'm glad to see they're expanding.
Pros: on-time, sanitary, professional

Think twice
by myfood
I went to this place for the first time a few weeks ago and it was the worst experience. I went for a bikini wax and the entire time I was thinking whether the woman knew what she was doing. It was painful and it took a long time. I've had waxings done before, but I've never had such an uncomfortable experience as I did at Beba Beauty. If you're looking for a place to get a bikini wax, think twice before going here.

Felt Refreshed
by 222_chris
I have just relocated to Los Angeles. I found a gem of a spa through City Search, where Dawn gave me an amazing 5 star facial. I travel on business and have facial all over the world, I can definately say she is one of, if not , the Best! she is very knowledgable and has an incredible touch. I would highly recomend her and Beba Beauty.

The Best Wax in LA!
by miles29
I went to Julia at Beba for my first Brazilian wax after reading about the salon in Allure magazine. Julia immediately put me at ease, was very quick and thorough, and not at all expensive. This place has a "neighborhood" feel and is very friendly. Julia made me a believer in the Brazilian, and a client for life!
Pros: Clean, Quick, Thorough

Julia was funny and friendly and totally put my worries at ease (first time going to a salon). The atmosphere is cozy but there's not much privacy because the place isn't very big (but i really didn't care since it was all women) HIGHLY recommended! i will definitely be returning there.
Pros: GREAT price, VERY friendly
Cons: not very private

I came to Beba after using Citysearch and was extremely pleased with the service. I got a Brazilian wax from Lynn and she was amazing! Highly skilled, sanitary, professional, and also very personable. She knows exactly what she is doing and she knows just how to make you feel as relaxed as you can be during the service. Rates are also very reasonable. I work odd hours and she can always fit me in. Lynn has a client for life!
Pros: Excellent Service, Great rates, Morn/Eve Appts

Went in for an eyebrow wax after reading other reviews. Came down from the valley and went in as a walk in (on a Saturday) and was taken right away. Lynn was great she gave me exactly what I wanted... plus a few tips on maintenance. Only $18.00, I would definitely frequent the shop if it was closer.
Pros: service, staff, affordable

Friendly Neighborhood Salon
by kimh
I went to Beba because I read in Allure magazine that the owner, Julia, is famous for her bikini waxes. The service was very friendly and personal. Apparently this place is rising in popularity but it had the feel of a small neighborhood place. The wax was pretty good. I forgot to take painkillers beforehand and I was complaining, so it wasn't that thorough. . but that was my fault. Anyhow, if you're modest, watch out because the door is kinda left open.
Pros: great service, great prices, personal attention
Cons: small, not very private
