I guess I'm not the only (very) long-time customer of Moon's that has finally had it with them. The business has continued to go downhill over the last couple of years and I'm finally done with them. Prices just continue to rise and service and quality continue to drop. Used to be you could get same day service EVERY day, including Sunday if you had your clothes in by 10am. Then Sunday's went away. Then their was an extra charge to get same day service unless you argued that it was still earlier than 10am. New "state of the art" system installed and they lost 8 pairs of my slacks. I eventually got them back by sifting through clothes there myself. (Luckily at one time they used to write your name on the pocket so I was able to easily confirm that the pants were in fact mine) They no longer seem to be able to meet the committed 'any time after 5:30'. the Last *3* times I had to come back the next day because my clothes weren't ready. Excuses just got old: "workers called in sick"..."equipment problem"..."presser problem". Moon's Best? NOT ANYMORE, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

We have been with them for a while now. I have two small kids and their Pick-up & Delivery services is VERY convenient and priceless!!! They also have an optional phone and email reminders! Their e-mail coupons and promotions are fabulous!

I have had trouble finding a dry cleaner with extended hours, which is why I really value Moon's. I also like to use the free delivery service, super convenient! Clothes always come out nicely, never have had any issues.

This cleaner is the WORST CLEANER IN THE WHOLE OF BAY AREA....They make holes in ur shirts,put spots on them....And when you talk to their managers about this,they use abusive language and put everything on you... PEOPLE DONT GIVE YOUR CLOTHES HERE...THEY ARE USELESS..MANAGEMENT IS SO RUDE AND STUPID...They spoiled two of my designer shirts ....MR.MOON should take care of how his management is working....... On April 22, 2010 I took a jacket into Moon's to have a new zipper installed. The woman at the counter told me the cost would be $17.00, that the work would be done on site, and that the jacket would be ready on 4-24-10 at 5pm. She gave me a receipt without a price on it but with the word "alteration" handwritten on it. On 4-24-10 I called to see if my jacket was ready to be picked up. I was told the jacket was off site at another Moon's establishment and was not ready, but to call back. I called several times; no one seemed to know anything and I began to think Moon's had lost my jacket. I was finally told that the price I had been quoted was too low and that I needed to call on 4-26-10. I was also told that my jacket had been cleaned for a cost of $6.50. I said that I had not authorized that and asked why I would pay $6.50 to have a jacket cleaned that was fine being washed in my washer at home. I was then told I would not be charged for the unauthorized cleaning. When I called back on 4-26-10 as directed, I was put on hold for a long time, then told someone would call me back. I waited 30 minutes for a call, then I called. I was told the price to install the zipper would be $55. I asked how the price could have gone from $17 to $55 and that for $55 I could buy a new jacket. Long story short: I went to Moon's and got my jacket. The staff were abusive and rude. I walked across the street to Nice Cleaners. Nice Cleaners were professional and respectful and did a beautiful job installing a new zipper for $15.00. I feel Moon's engaged in bait and switch and thought they could take advantage of a senior who would not fight back.

I live in the Bay Area and the BEST place to go is Bonita Cleaners, they are very accessible to the freeway, friendly staff and awesome service all around. Cheap does not mean bad, so avoid Moon's at all cost.

I have been going to Moon's for 20 years, and they were fine until the last two or three years. First, they ruined a king-sized faux fur bedspread, just frizzed it up so that it didn't look like fur at all anymore, not even close to the same look or feel. My kids did not recognize their own bedspread! I told them I was upset, but decided that once in 20 years isn't TOO bad.

Then, In December, 2008 they ruined two really nice small New Zealand lambskin fireplace rugs. They'd been the soft, long-fibered white fluffy kind that people put in front of their fireplaces. Now the fibers are short and frizzed up, the rug has shrunk to about 75 percent of its original side, and the suede back is all stiff as a board.

I've stopped at the store five times. I've called about half a dozen times. Their owner, James, is NEVER in when I call or stop by during business hours. I've been promised action numerous times, and still nothing. It is almost March, and still nothing.

I am switching cleaners. This is not the same business it was. They now deserve to go under, and maybe that will be the silver lining in the crummy economy: businesses that have long deserved to die, will finally do so.

5 pairs of pants lost, and they act like it is no big deal. No one to blame buy myself I guess. This happened about 1 year ago. I spent two hours in the back going through a bunch of cloths to find my suit. Found it, James ironed it, then tried to charge me for his services. I told him to pay me for my time! 2 HOURS!!!!

So now, what do I get for staying loyal (only because I like the REAL Mr. Moon!!) I get 5 less pairs of pants!! NOT CHEAP PANTS!!!

No one can beat their hours, but they sure beat themselves up by losing clothes. They claim it is all done on site. I have a feeling they are ruining batches of clothes and saying they are "LOST??"

This needs to stop!

I too have gone through a few experiences of missing clothes and having to come back later and get a piece here and a piece there. ( Funny that there were never more than 2 people up front in 20 yrs, now there are 5-6 at all times)

That was annoying, but Mr Moon has been good to me all these years so I just figured it was their new system and decided to have some patience, UNTIL NOW!! I dry clean all my clothes, most of my shirts are in the $150-200 range, they always acknowledge the quality whenever I bring them in...........imagine my horror when I picked them up a few days ago and they had been WASHED AND STARCHED! I called and asked for a manager, I got some kid named Vince who apologized and offered to re-do them for free...WOW, what a consolation...never said anything about the fact that they freakin washed them but charged me for dry cleaning. I am totally pissed off over this and am seriously contemplating picketing this store next week in an effort to get these people to see that they are running this business down...any one interested in signing a petition to be given to the elder Mr Moon or joining me in a picketing, email me at rikgib@yahoo.com

Mr. Moon himself, who is often standing behind the counters making sure you are getting the full assistance you need, is someone you will become instance friends with. The first time you walk into this always busy shop, Mr. Moon will not recognize you, and will hand you a fifty dollar gift certificate for next time. Great service and a great price. One thing...they lost one of my fiance's shirts, but gave him a $50 credit because that is how much the shirt was.
