If you have yearned for a great Steak Frites in LA, look no further. The Steak has a great Peppercorn sauce and the mountain of delicious fries is just that. Sit outside and enjoy the evening Hollywood climate or step inside. For the more adventuresome, order the Escargot which is steeped in garlic and oil.

'The Trash.' Used to be enamored with this place, though it always seemed closed when we wanted to go. It got points for amazing food (seafood crepes and one of the best steaks in L.A.); however, the service was abysmal (we were being waited on by "actors") and not in the semi-acceptable 'French Service' kinda way. We haven't been back since ordering delivery, wherein the food was just terrible...trash indeed. Third star ONLY for the fair possibility this pl ace may one day redeem itself.

So the food's not bad, decent beer selection, a little bit overpriced, parking can be absolutely awful. But--if you're going to a show at UCB, you could do much worse. Oh, and the people can be a bit sceney.
