Cahuenga Pet Hospital

After raping us of hundreds of dollars for a week our poor sick cat had to be put down. Dr Marina told us conflicting stories over the phone than in person. She had my wife come down to say goodbye to our amazing cat and then old her he was doing better and for another $500 we should see what happens. Emotional blackmail is what this woman and this place deals in. My 5 month pregnant wife has a broken heart and spent a week in distress over this and all we wanted was for someone to be caring with our little, all we got was greed. never go to this place or this vet. Shame on you Dr. Marina.

I bought an expensive dog from Just Paws in the Glendale Galleria. Was forced to go 45 min. away to Cahuenga Vet for the FREE? puppy check-up. Rude employees that don't have an answer to anything, not even puppy shot schedule, when this is where I was told I HAD to go. Dog ended up having Giardia, or HAD it already , according to the store papers but Dr. said it was a "preventative"? given twice a day for days? This was something I never should've had to pay for. Then offered me a lower deal than I'd find "anywhere" for the next shots. Ended up costing me twice as much as a discount vet and then gave shots puppy didn't need! Puppy was screaming in the back during shots and a girl brought her out saying " Oh, the dog is mad" They also charged me for canned food she said she'd give me free! Never Again!!!!
JUST DON'T GO THERE!

Our girls always got such personal care with you - even when we had to put them down. I can't imagine having that devastating experience with a more caring doctor. We are going to miss you. I hope we are as lucky as we were to find you in finding a vet in our new neighborhood, especially since we are in the process of adoption our 5th special needs rescue dog.

Dr. Marina is compassionate, and our cat responds to her. He is afraid of most humans, so that's saying a lot. I've been to many other vets in the city, and Dr. Marina is approachable, kind, and always follows-up after a visit. I have taken friends' pets, strays, and our own cat to her.

The clinic itself went through a rough patch recently. Over the past year or so, a problem developed with some of the administrative front desk staff. Those staff members are now gone, and the new staff is competent and friendly.

All in all, Dr. Marina is a cat whisperer, and I've seen her do great work with dogs, too.

The staff is extremely rude and offers no comfort to you or your animals. They seem very disinterested in trying to diagnoses health problems for your pets. After a two day ordeal with this vet, my cat died with no explanation, no tests results, and no compassion. My cat was only three years old. This place should be put out of business.

the vet, dr. marina kotlarenko is a very sweet and nice person, and i'm sure she's a good vet too.

but the staff is exceptional unfriendly! it upsets me everytime i go ther e or call in ...

I have 2 9mo old dalmatians that i adore this Past monday i made the mistake of taking them to Cahuenga pet hospital i was real dissapointed by their services and if you dont want to traumatize ur dogs keep away from there. the Vet came to meet my dogs at the DIRTY waiting room and my dog tried to stand on back legs and put his front paws on her and she said "NO PLS KEEP AWAY" I feel as if he was rejected when he was trying to show affection, latter she wanted to take him to a room alone, i refused and got out of there their facility is filthy, their floor is disgusting , receptionist are rude and the vet has a real bad attitude even with patients. please keep ur pets away from there.

Over the years, my cat has required A LOT of veterinary care. Im happy to report that she's as energetic, loving and full of attitude today as shes ever been in her whole life. (Probably more.) Dr. Marina, Elizabeth, Yolanda and EVERYONE at the clinic really love animals and care about keeping them healthy. I couldn't recommend anyone more emphatically.

I have had several dogs in the past 40 years and have seen a lot of Vets. It was a special day when I met Dr Marina Kotlarenko. She is the most compassionate and loving Person I have ever known. She has been caring for my dogs for the past 18 years. All her pet patients are treated with the same love and care as if they were her own.The staff also is a very caring group of people. They don't treat them like "animals" but more like friends and guests. If you are looking for a pet hospital with a great doctor you can not go wrong with the Cahuenga Pet Hospital.

CONS:

Dr. Marina Kotlarenko is a very friendly and lovable veterinarian. She pays special attention to my dog as well as what the owner's concern is. She is my favorite veterinarian.The staff is very professional and very friendly. They know who I am, they know my dog's name, ans they care about the animals.I definitely recommend it to everyone that has pets.

One year ago I was recommended to this animal hospital from one of my friends who has brought her pets to Dr. Marina for years and I have never regretted it. The doctor knows exactly what she is doing and her staff is very professional and caring. This is a definitely an A+ Veterinary Hospital and I would recommend it highly to anyone who loves their pets.

PROS: The best Veterinarian in town !
CONS: Not enough parking spaces.

If you love your pet, do NOT board them at this place. My dog was there for 4 days. When I picked him up he had a puncture wound on his back leg. His knees were swollen to twice their normal size. The hair had been rubbed off on his knees as if he had been laying on only concrete. The skin was raw. (They told me they would provide bedding but there was none in the cage when I got him) He also picked up a skin infection. Now when I inquired about the pathetic state my dog was returned to me, they claimed to have no knowlegde of injury and that nothing happened while he was there. It has been a month and he is still recovering. I know it's possible for animals to injure themselves....but the fact that they had no idea that anything was wrong.... that he was bleeding?!? They took no responsibilty and said they would look into it...but never called me back or gave me any answers. I had brought toys, portioned food, and eye drops. None of this was returned or even accounted for. I cannot speak as to the quality of the vet services as I had only been there once before. But if I was you, I would not give these people one cent of your money.

i brought my cat some months ago for a check up.
dr marina talked me into this dental promotion ..
so i got my cat a dental cleaning.left her there for a coule 2 hours . when i took her home she was really aggressive toward me and my other cat.
my cat remained unapproacheable for a month.had to keep separated .fights erupted between the long time companions cats, really scary!!!
my cat had a horrible experience or was given a wrong drug ( the drug prescribed to her IT IS NOT patented for cats yet. is a canine med . and talks about aggression as a side effect.)

I started to come to Cahuenga Pet Hospital over ten years ago. This is a full-service pet hospital with one really great veterinarian, and since I have realized this I have been a client of Dr.Marina. The service is excellent, and what I like the best is that the doctor and staff have always treated us like family. The wait is usually quite reasonable as well as prices, comparing to other places. I also boarded our dog at their beautiful boarding facility while I went on vacation, and when I came to pick him up he didn't even want to go home! The knowledge and care they have for animals is evident. I wouldn't take my dog to any other pet hospital, and I totally appreciate the doctor and assistants at this hospital and highly recommend it to everyone that has pets.

Cahuenga Animal Hospital is not the place to go if you love your pet. They wouldn't let me meet with a vet and participate in my kitten's check-up. They refused to give a clear answer to my questions regarding billing and services. When I had my kitten neutered by them and came to pick him up, the nurse rather carelessly dumped the poor half-conscious creature on his head while putting him in his carrier.

PROS: None but close proximity if you live in Hollywood.
CONS: They seem more interested in business rather than animal care.
