Both of my daughters have swam at La Petite Baleen since they were 8 weeks old. My oldest is 3 1/2 years old and is learning strokes after already mastering the safety skills that LPB makes sure are taught first. She has a wonderful relationship with her amazing teacher, Erin. My baby girl, 13 mos., is not very trusting of people at all but she just loves her teacher Catrina. At just over a year she can already hold her breath and kick & paddle a few feet independantly. La Petite Baleen is well worth every penny spent!
Pros: Warm Water, Cool Teachers
Cons: Teacher Dana isn't in the water anymore!

I work at a different pool and lots of people come to us in the summer and complain about La Petite Baleen. It is expensive, the water is TOO warm and I do not think they teach as fast as other swimming pools do. I do know some of the teachers and they are great, but I don't know if it's worth the money when there are other public pools that are better and will get your child to learn faster and enjoy swimming.
PROS: Small classes, individual attention
CONS: Slower progress, too much poop in the pool =)

Both of my daughters learned how to swim at La Petitie Baleen. I didn't learn how to learn to swim until I was an adult and thought it was very important for my kids to learn. I had received rave reviews about this school and was not disappointed!!

This is a great swim school- although you need to get in during the summer or you may have a wait. The instructors, especially Jason is great. Kids learn how to swim like pros.

Jason P. is a swim instructor at La Petite Baleen and he is great with the kids. When you have a fear of the water you need someone fun like Jason to make sure that you get over the fear and can enjoy the water.
PROS: Jason P.
CONS: It is never that hot in San Bruno and you can't swim anywhere but indoors!

This swim school is the best around and gives kids a clean and healthy swimming experience. Kids of all ages are welcome to this school and are taught by swimming experts on the safety and fun of swimming. This school can be taken year round as the pool is indoor and heated. The cost is pricy but your kids will take a lot out fo theexperience.
