This place is a gem in a business area of Santa Monica that lacks decent quality lunch and simple dinner food. The lunch/dinner cuisine is simple and very tasty (salads, Italian sandwiches, and soups), and breakfast is also a treat, featuring a great homemade oatmeal and a few egg dishes. The coffee is also very good. Prices are good at this owner-operated, Italian-style cafe. I only wish the parking nearby was more plentiful. The staff is professional and attentive. It's always a treat to get lunch or a latte here.

This little cafe is like stepping into Europe with their great sandwiches (paninos), and selection of coffees and teas. They're desserts and breads are great and their butternut squash soup is everybody's favorite. Prices are fair, this is just a great place to know about. Everyone in the area goes by. It's less known, but they have some of the best oatmeal, too. Get it with cranberries and brown sugar.
