Last year was my final trip to this hotel after making it a yearly stop for several years. I was really put off by the treatment I received from the staff so I decided I did not want to return this year when the rest of my friends who make the yearly journey attended. In the end the final straw and reason for writing this review was the treatment that my friend received when she tried to re-book for her trip back. They had told her that she had been "flagged" and was not invited to stay again. After much investigation it had turned out that they "flagged" the wrong person and told her she was ok to book her trip. They verbally apologized and invited her to book her weekend. Personally I think more needs to be done when there's such a drastic mistake as flagging the wrong person. The staff used to be very engaging with the kids and understanding of basic kid behavior especially when given the fact that they bake fresh cookies everyday and have a very inviting pool, kids tend to get excited. However, the last year it was very clear that the man working the front desk did not like kids AT ALL! The rooms are nice but could probably use a fresh coat of paint. The pool is clean as are the grounds and the staff is really good about hosing down the pool area every evening. The bbq on site is a nice touch but unfortunately the staff itself is what keeps me from bringing my business back again. I'll take my money and my recommendations elsewhere.

Pros: Very Loose Pool Hours

Cons: Terrible Staff NOT Kid Friendly

.

NIce old boutique hotel in the old tennis club district. Small, around thirty rooms with many surrounding the pool. Nice mountain views and everything within walking distance.

Holiday House is a 28-room boutique hotel located in downtown Palm Springs. Originally opened in 1951, the hotel was designed by noted architect Herbert W. Burns. Today, it has been reimagined by interior designer Mark D. Sikes and the team behind Sparrows Lodge. The property features midcentury inspired elements combined with a communal atmosphere and whimsical edge. The design centers around Gio Ponti inspired tile-work in the bar and artwork throughout the property including pieces by David Hockney, Roy Liechtenstein, Herb Ritts, Alex Katz and Mr. Brainwash, with a garden sculpture by Donald Sultan.

In order to create a communal environment, Holiday House does not have televisions in our rooms. Guests must be 21 and over to check-in.
