This is the place where I get my ribs for my bbqs, OB beer, and insanely large pears....costs a lot but well worth it! Usually if I purchase a lot of stuff, they'll give me some free stuff. =)

I used to come here all the time to get kim bop, the Korean sushi. It is a great afterschool snack and when you wrap it in the Korean seaweed they sell here, it tastes ever better! First Korean Market has all the Asian snacks you can need and a lot of the Korean homemade snacks like kim chee and the bean sprouts made on a regular basis. I love kim bop and Korean seaweed and this place always satisfies my craving.

I would come here every weekend while growing up in SF. The store is small. They offer fresh and good kimbab sushi. If you just want something quick, this is the place to go. Grab some kimbab, or the plenty of korean snacks they offer. But this is probably not the place to go if you are planning to cook a nice korean dinner, which may require a lot of ingredients that they may not offer.

This is a comparatively small market that can get lost in the hustle and bustle of San Francisco. What sets it apart from the nearby mega-stores is that it specializes in Korean delicacies. The deli products are unique and very tasty (ie. sauteed fibrous beans!). Be careful of the deep red spicy pickled preserves and flavored snacks, they will give your mouth a good kick if you're not used to that level.

This place is a great place to get essentials for Korean cooking. The kimchee is sometimes hit or miss. But when it's good, it's good! Also, if you suck up to the owner, she sometimes gives you little freebies.
