I love this place. It is on my way to a friends place and I often stop on by to get my car washed. I have always had a great experience there and the guys are really nice. They do a wonderful job on making your car shine as you leave! There is a BBQ next door so if you dont want to sit and read while you wait then head on over there for some great BBQ.

these guys totally screwed up my cars windows. the beaner that washed my car used wax instead of windex to clean them. now when i drive at night i have a shitload of blurry glare from the lights. i cant tell if i got a cop car tailing me !

if beaners could read english they could read the directions on the wax and it says do not freaking use on windows.

i paid 65 dollars for a "mini detail" i went back after a week and they would not redo my windows, i talked to three different beaners. the beaner that takes the money at the register. the beaner that writes your invoice in the line, and a dirty fat beaner that claimed to be the 'assistant manager'.

all i wanted was my car to be clean. i was willing to pay extra to have the job done well. instead they ripped me off and wouldnt redo their work. i wish i used my credit card so i could complain to my credit card company.

i will never go back there again.

I have gone here a few times now, and find myself going out of my way to come here. You have to try the grill right next door while you wait. I get a great wash and I get to eat lunch while I am waiting, which I love. Try it, the car comes out great each time.

Don't laugh but you can get a "chair" massage and a WIDE variety of hallmark cards from this carwash. If you're looking for a card, just stop by there. It's fun to look around in their store. They are pretty quick and you can grab a bite at the bbq place next door if you're hungry. The 99cents store is across the street, so plenty to do.

Handy J Car Wash did a good job of cleaning my car inside and out. My windows were streak free and my carpets looked great. However, they were a bit busy the day I went and I had to wait a little longer than I had expected. Recommend

Handy J car wash is a great place. They are fast and efficient. My car is clean, dry, and streak-free when I leave. They have benches and chair to sit in while you wait. It's also on the same property of The Outdoor Grill which has wonderful BBQ food.

this has to be the worst carwash on the westside! i took my car in for a wash & it emerged with a giant fissure down the center of the windshield as well as shards of glass on the hood & a small nick on the windshield as if something had struck it or fallen from overhead. when i brought this to the attention of the owner, he said the split was there when i brought it in (which it was not). he walked over to another car & said yes, this car had a windshield break already. that particular car he was refering to wasn't my car. upon pointing out my actual car with new windshield fissure, he then lectured me about how long he'd been in business. instead of hearing me out & looking for a solution, he just offered this pat answer over & over again: "it was there when you brought the car in".his business skills are obviously lacking & he must not have been around long enough to know that customers are the backbone of his or any business. without customers, he won't be in business much longer with an an awful, poor customer service attitude like that. so long story short, if you want to avoid getting a broken windshield, avoid the handy j. if you want a good carwash, go elsewhere & patronize that business.

Pros: it's near the outdoor grill

Cons: awful customer service

I have been coming to this place for years and I always remove my valuables. However, on this particular day, I noticed my sunglasses in their case, in the console of my car and I figured, instead of taking them out I would bury them at the bottom and cover it with napkins and my car phone charger. When I got my car back, the first thing I did was open up my console to see my sunglasses case at the top and the napkins pushed to the side. I looked in my case to of course, find it empty. The only thing the manager said to me was, "We have a sign that says to remove your belongings and that we are not responsible for missing items". The police said that there is nothing they can do either. Great. I will NEVER go back to that place. The car wash isn't even that great.

Pros: Outdoor Grill is right next to it and you can eat while they steal your stuff

Cons: No one is willing to help the customer out

Don't ever go there. They left my car in neutral gear and let it roll into an outdoor grill next door. The bumper had to be replaced. After several letters to the business and talking to the manager asking for the repair costs, I now have to go to court in order to get my money for the occurred damage. So, if you like your car, don't ever go there!!!

Pros: Can't think of any.

Cons: Extensive car damage

Top not attention to detail. Been going there for 20+ years (Back in the days of gooey looey's). NEVER disappointed.

Pros: Maticulous attention to detail

Cons: Crowded. Price you pay for the best. Get there in A.M.

I brought my 2006 Mustang Pony in for a detailing, and right away, I noticed that the work started off with the slapping of dirty, sand-containing floor mats against grime-encrusted wheels and sheetmetal (hello scratches).

The worst part, though, was that when the work was finished, the special brushed metal emblem was missing from the driver's side floor mat. The supervisor denied that it had happened, too.

'Nuff said.

Pros: Thorough

Cons: At least one part was stolen from the vehicle

.

The prices are decent, but my wheels have a tendency to build up grime that has to be scrubbed. Some times the washers clean it up nicely; other times they claim it can't be scrubbed off. For $8 it's pretty decent but I prefer other places to this. It's right on Lincoln so it gets VERY crowded on the weekends.

Pros: relatively cheap wash

Cons: not-so-great service

.

Put simply -- I ventured to this car wash since it is in my neighborhood and is a hand-wash. In hindsight I would've been better off going to a cheapie gas station car wash...

While watching the wash process I noticed that the workers washing it will wash the bottom of the car (where major debris typically resides) and then work their way up. Any car wash worth your money knows that if you don't want to get scratches, you wash top-down. Washing bottom up loosens the major debris from the bottom into their wash mitts and turns their mitts into scratch pads. Nice. Sure enough, when I inspected my car when it was completed, my passenger door had been plastered with scratches. The attendent was pretty useless in remedying the situation.

I'll spend more time and money working the scratches out with Meguiar's products than I wasted at this car wash.

If you have an old beater and don't mind new scratches, go to this place; Otherwise, avoid it.

I was headed toward another car wash, one highly rated on Citysearch, but I couldn't find it. I naively figured that one car wash was as good as any other and I pulled into Handy J. I waited about ten minutes for somebody to come over to my car and take my order, and then I went inside to the cashier. Everything was decent so far. Then came the waiting. I expected to wait, because it was a Saturday morning and most car washes are very busy on weekends. I saw the attendant going over my car with great detail and I was rather pleased that he would spend so much time drying it ... until I heard a "clink." Looking up, I see my car's front symbol on the ground. The attendant tries to put it back on, but to no avail, and I don't see it anymore. He then proceeds to put his hand in the air to tell me that my car is ready, and I still see dirt on it. I ask him politely if he would mind cleaning the back windshield again because there is visible dirt, and he smiles. Then he half-heartedly wipes a towel over the windshield, shrugs, mumbles something in Spanish and walks away. Thanks. I get in my car and see my symbol under the emergency break. Now you tell me - wouldn't you rather them acknowledge that they messed up and try to fix it, rather than hiding it and hoping you wouldn't see it? I go to the cashier, she mumbles something incoherent and points at a guy walking by - who's already going to get the Krazy Glue. Maybe this happens more often than they'd like to admit. Five minutes later, I'm still standing with the rude manager who looks annoyed that I even dared to ask him to fix a mistake his business made. Eventually they get the symbol on, which miraculously stays there until I get home.

Bottom line? Don't go.
