We love this preschool. Our daughter attended 4 years ago for a year of preschool and or son is attending now. We could not be more pleased with the director, teachers, lessons and Christian values. The loving attention and prep for kinder is balanced perfectly. Thanks Good Shepherd!

My son has been attending Good Shepard for a year now. He LOVES it! They have a wonderful staff and a huge play yard. We originally came from another preschool that closed it's doors. I am so impressed with everything they do. My son has improved on so many levels since attending. The tuition is priced at a great rate. The director is fantastic! ALL the teachers are amazing! My son loves going to school! I highly recommend this school. Please ignore the negative comments...They are outdated and they have a new director. I can't say enough about this school. You wil not be disappointed!

My son started there in August 2009 on the preschool side and is now in the after school program since he just started Kindergarten. Miss Tina was wonderful with him as his preschool teacher. She was structured (but not too structured), loving, creative,... She (and all the teachers) are very passionate about their work and the preschool. They have very fun activities throughout the year like day with Dad, day with Mom, movies during the summer nights, etc. The Director, Cheryl, is also very organized and has very helpful hints for child development and behavior. Their patience and guidance with my son has been just so wonderful. Also, the pricing of the preschool is excellent. Great care for a reasonable price is unheard of! Thank you Good Shepherd!

What a Blessing!! Good Shepherd Pre-School is fantastic! My son is in the Pre K program and has loved every second that he spends there. He will be attending the school age program this fall as well :). He is more than ready to enter Kindrgarten and I believe that a large part of that is due to his Teacher Mrs. Tina and the rest of the staff. The staff in general are a loving group. I would highly recommend this Pre School!

My daughter started this school just in several months and there were so many accidents happened to her. I pointed out certain things unappropriate for the kids should be addressed but look like the school is breaking their licensing laws and it meant this school did not have child-proof. In addition, I don't know many years of experience of teachers got but look through the ways they taught students, I can say they didn't have experiences of child development at all. Second, the first shift and the second shift of teachers did not communicate to each others so once my daughter got accident in the morning, the afternoon teachers always said "Oh sorry, we don't know...you might ask the office or her teacher." As I know, their kids also went to this school and they cared about their kids more than others. Plus, this facility had a dirty yards and old equipments.

I'm not sure about when the negative reviews were made. What I do know is that my son loves this school. He is 4 and will be attending next year for the 2010-2011 term. (2nd year) The director is wonderful and I love my son's teacher. He is way ahead of his age group because of what they have taught him. They also work with my son with his manners...Chewing with your mouth closed, covering your cough....etc. These comments are coming from a mother of a child who is not perfect...He is all boy and does get into a bit of trouble from time to time. All the teachers are very loving and kind. They have a huge play yard.....I highly recommend this school. The rates are also very competitive...5 full days is $535.00!

I found Good Shepherd Preschool to have a highly qualified and dedicated staff and director. The program consists of developmental and academic components which meet the needs of children and prepare them for kindergarten. I observed the staff to be in tune to the social development and the nurturing necessary for preschool age children. I have highly recommended this school to my daughter
for my grand daughter to attend. She is very happy there and benefits greatly. The extra activities provided are enriching and prove the expertise of the program.

Both of my children have gone to Good Shepherd thru out the years. My son currently attends the after school program which he loves. They do so many fun events with the kids, such as snow day. They truck in tons of snow for the kids, all ages groups, to play in. It is one of my favorite memories there as well as my childrens. The teachers and staff have such a warm and loving way about them that you can't help but feel good when you drop your kids off.

I would recomend this school to all in or out of the area!

I have 2 children that have attended Good Shepherd Preschool and there school age program. We have been totally satisfied with the warm, loving environment that both my children have experienced at this school. The director and staff have been very flexible with our schedule and have worked very hard to meet our special needs. Both my children were very ready to start Kindergarten after there preschool experience. We can not say enough about this school!! Check it out for yourself and you will see.

Money was not an issue when looking for a daycare for our son. Yes, were looking for a quality daycare at a reasonable price, but more so we were looking for a good environment for our son. Teachers at this facility are not qualified, experienced day care givers. There were too many children grouped together and teacher to student ratio was poor. My child was often grouped together with sick children, who were allowed to attend. More often than not, I would pick him up in the afternoon and would see sick children around him constantly. Interaction with the teachers consisted mainly of complaints about our son and never anything positive. This is not a loving environment in which I would like to keep my son.

Both of my sons attended Good Shepherd, a developmental school that prepared them very well for Kindergarten. The children are taught in a loving and caring environment with hands on activities to stimulate their learning. This is a non-profit school so the rates are very reasonable considering the high caliber of teachers education and trained staff. There has been a change of teachers in the last couple of years since staff members retired or moved on- with most having over 20 years at the school. The school serves the communities diverse population well and very sensitive and flexible to parents and students needs with a heart for serving God and leading the children in the path they should go. There is a great comfort in knowing your child is well cared for and cared ABOUT when they are not with you. Good Shepherd serves the true spirit of Jesus' teachings- with a commitment to lead & teach the children.

PROS: caring & well educated staff
CONS: not checking it out for yourself...

The school is competitively priced compared to other schools but I would not recommend it unless you have absolutely no other choice. Teachers are OK (I'm not sure of their qualifications or experience) but education is definitely not a focus there. It's more like recess for your kids. There are no computers or a decent library. Many of their resources are donated and hand-me-downs. Playground equipment is old and some of it looks inappropriate and not up to California codes which is a lawsuit waiting to happen. There is also high teacher turn-over. If you want your child to have the best teachers and the best environment to learn in, this school is not it. This school is very disappointing and should be avoided if your looking for a head start for your child.

PROS: Very little........price is OK
CONS: Everything Else
