5 Stars: amazing photos (by Katherine T.)

When I was younger I didn't appreciate photography as much as I did "real art." But I found that it was because I just didn't see the right photos. This gallery has a number of photos dedicated to the history and social power of black and white and color photography. With a number of traveling exhibitions, you can catch a lot of different subjects and artists.

5 Stars: Favorite at Balboa Park (by Xenia F.)

The Museum of Photographic Arts is my favorite of Balboa Parks museums. Admission is 6 dollars, although there is a 2 dollar discount for students, AAA members, and I believe seniors and military. The photographs are absolutely stunning. Many do not even look like photographs, but paintings they are so flawless. The variety of photography on display is also impressive, ranging from landscapes to black and white photographs from the 50s to photographs taken from various spots around the world.
