I have been going for years and my vet left and a new vet who has an english accent is an idiot who acts snobby. He's quite intimating. My dog needed her teeth cleaned and I paid about $250 for blood testing to make sure she could be put under, as she is older and was born very premature. When I picked her up there were and still are three burns along her side. They suggested it may have been the heating pad but "whose to know" and refused to reimburse for the blood work, procedure, visit to check the burn scare THEY ARE AWFUL AND DOCTOR WILLA.... IS SCAREY. DO NOT GO HERE MY PET WAS BURNED ON THE OPERATING TABLE.

I had gone here for 10 years and stopped going. The vets continuosly leave so you never know who you're going to see. My cats were diagnosed with various ailments and with their treatment continued to get worse. I finally took my cats health into my own hands, did research and nursed back to health. When I tried to tell the vet what I had done thinking that she might be interested as her treatment had no effect, she wasn't.

I don't know what happened here but all the good vets left. Everytime our dogs bond with someone they are gone. The staff seems miserable and it is embarrassing to watch the head receptionist yell at and abuse her staff. We won't be going back here anymore.

We love our vet here. She is so compassionate, thorough, always takes her time with us and answers all our questions. We had been to 4 other vets including a vet dermatologist, but none of them could get Barkley's skin rashes under control until we met Dr. Revel. The nurses were also very nice and seemed to geniounely care about our pets. The front staff is hit or miss, but it is worth it to get the excellent care they offer.

Do not take your pets here. I took two cats in for a general check-up. They did not have an appointment time for both cats and to fit them in, I had to leave the animals and pick them up later. When I returned in the afternoon I took both kitties home. The younger one, who was only 2 years old, collapsed and died as soon as she was out of the carrier. When I called VCA MR in a panic they told me to take the cat to a different hospital because they were closing in 5 and had turned the registers off. Later, VCA paid for a necropsy and cremation but had the work done by one of their private labs. A second opinion from another vet made it clear this was entirely unethical. I fought VCA for a long time, they are criminals. They could kill your pets. Avoid them at all costs.

I've never had a good experience at this vet. They've misdiagnosed my cat several times, and had me pay 2000 bucks for an unecessary surgery that ultimately killed her. 3 years later, they still get her papers confused with my other cat's. They still send me post cards that she's due for shots. And I've been in 3 times where I've seen them physcially make a note that she's dead. They are so disorganized and cold. I recommend looking elsewhere.

I will never go to another VCA, especially Miller Robertson. The staff is completely useless, untrained, and incredibly unprofessional. They hire people who talk about their PERSONAL problems in a graphic nature in the middle of the reception area! These people are disgusting. They talk about sex, drugs, and I don't even want to get into the rest, but they are gross and I don't want them near my pets.

I've worked in the vet field as a technician for over 10 years. I know a good place when I see one. The Dr's there seem nice and knowledgeable, but they seem to work up their cases unnecessarily. I mean c'mon, $300 dollars to neuter a cat? the procedure take about 5 - 10 minutes, start to finish. Seriously. Then they want to charge you $100 dollars for IV fluids that the cat will not get because the procedure takes only 5 minutes!

They make it seem as if the animal is going to be on IV fluids all day, when they are just on them (and it's a re-used IV bag and line folks!) during the 5 minute procedure. $100!!! On top of that, they try and get you to pay for lab work as a pre-anesthetic precaution. Every single Dr I've worked with has said, "well, there really isn't anything that would show up on the labwork that would make us not want to do the procedure.". What they mean is that if there was something seriously wrong, they would want to do more testing ($$$) and add some additional precautions, like IV fluids, etc, to the procedure.

I've talked to some of the techs there, and they seem so miserable. VCA seems to hire poor employees, and treat the ones it does have like garbage. You'd think in the middle of Beverly Hills you would have excellent service, and well spoken, decent employees. Not here.

After hearing all this, do you really want to trust your pet with these people?

Do yourselves a favor folks and go find some mom and pop animal hospital. Laurel pet, or Studio city are ones I can recommend.

Best of luck

I visited this animal hospital after it was recommended by a friend of mine. When I arrived, the male receptionist was extremely friendly and welcomed me. I filled out my paper work and was brought to the back where my cat was examined. The vet was professional and everything seemed to be going good. Then the vet mentioned I should purchase a package deal which includes shots, vaccines, etc. for the animal. I wasn't sure, as it was almost a couple hundred dollars, so I told him I would think about it. He said, "Okay" and I was on my way.

In walks in the receptionist who should have chosen another profession. As I stood there to pay she said to me, "Are you going to purchase the package deal or pay individually for each service?" I asked how much it would cost for the single visit vs. buying the entire package. She would not tell me and said I had a few minutes to decide. I felt like I was buying a used car. She really put on the pressure for me to buy the vacination package. In the end I paid for the package, only to find out my bill for that visit would have been a hundred dollars less had I not paid for it.

To make matters worse, I called this location a few months later to schedule an appointment to have my cat neutered. The same woman answered and quoted me a price of $300. Then she laughed and hung up. I'm not sure if this woman still works there, but if so, I would not recommend visiting this location. She was unprofessional and turned the entire visit into a negative experience.

PROS: Friendly Vet, Good Location
CONS: Bad Customer Service, Pressure Sales, High Prices, Hard to Find Parking

When the very famous animal clinic to the stars was purchased by mega chain VCA we all thought the service and caring staff would starting heading down hill but it's just not the case. This top rate facility still caters to the stars and is a great place to take your dog or cat. They have emergency numbers if you need then and are always attentive to your animals when you bring them in.
