My system had one of the manifolds break. Since the company is out of business and the parts are not available I was forced to purchase a new system. I kept the undamaged manifolds if someone can use them to fix not replace their system. Does anybody have information on Suntakers insurance policy while they were in business. If we can get that we can make a claim against their products and completed operations even though they are no longer in business

I'm having problems reaching SunTaker too. Our rooftop panels started leaking last summer after working fine for about 3 years. Looks like their listed number seems to be a fax machine. Perhaps I should try faxing them a notice.

I had the exact same experience as the other reviewer. I lost many thousands of dollars and filed a complaint to the Attorney General's office. The only response was that they went bankrupt (after lying to people). I know of about 5 other homeowners who are trying to reach the owner of the business. They damaged my roof and pool and are the worst slimeballs around. Let me know if you ever find them.

This is a firm to stay away from. We were convinced to buy a system from them by one of the sales agents (who we later found was actually an owner) under he premise that their firm were specialists in solar based pool heating, and that the pool company had less experience in solar panels. We were told about a 25 year warranty which was more than we hoped for knowing we would only own the home for 10 years.Within 60 days we had our first problem with leakage form the system and water running sown the side of house. It took 6-7 emails and phone requests to get these guys out to repair the problem, and this was done more so based on the Certified Delivery threat of legal action, which I finally sent 90-120 days after the first request. After the repairs were done we used the system for the final month or so of "summer" before it became to cold to swim. The next spring (2007) the system worked 60-90 days before another more severe leak in 3-4 places on roof had us resorting to warm day use of the pool only. We started calling last April on the problem and only discovered in August that the firms principals had moved to Las Vegas. So much for our 25 year warrantee. A local service we called to inspect our panels indicated the panels used are of the lowest quality anywhere, and cannot be repaired, but must be replaced to avoid damage to our roof. Cost to do so will be $1000 for removal and $3000 for replacement panels. We are now trying to track these fellows down with a reliable address in Vegas where we can serve a court action for refund of our purchase amount of $4500. Beware of so-called "experts in pool solar". We know now that it is better to deal with a large pool company for such repairs than to have to track down a "here one day - gone the next" type operator.
