1 Stars: Terrible Experience (by Marina C.)

We went to this restaurant today to have lunch, and we were very desappointed with the food and the service. First of all, our waitress didin't explain anything about the restaurant's system, (all you can eat), the food was "ok" and it came in huge portions, which caught us by surprise and it had more rice than anything else.
So when it was time to pay for the bill ($45.00 for a couple) we decided to tell the waitress about a suggestion for future clients; we mentioned that it would be nice for her to explain to the costumers about the sushi's size and portions. Well, that didn't go well at all with her. She being a Japanese waitress with poor English, thought that we were attacking her verbally which was not the case at all and she complained about us being there and her tip which was a dollar(terrible experience).
So our suggestion is to go somewhere else where you can spend your $50.00 in a better place, better food and better service. Seriously, this restaurant does not deserve your money, it is actually dirty in there too.

2 Stars: Tadashi Sushi (by Isabelle R.)

A friend and I went to Tadashi last night - the food was very good, but the
bill was very high for what we actually ordered. We were overcharged $17.00 and when we questioned it but could not get a straight answer. We now have to go back to the restaurant and sort this out - also dispute the charges with my bank. They have so many rules about what you can take out, sneaky charges that it overrides how good the food is. We won't go back. There are plenty of of ther good Sushi places in San Diego with above board charges and policies.

3 Stars: Good but probably wouldnt' go back. (by K. Y.)

I went to Tadashi Sushi for the all-you-can eat buffet. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. First, it was pretty expensive and you had to select items on the menu that you wanted like certain rolls, raw fish, etc. Then you waited... and waited... and waited for them to make it. While this ensures that the food is fresh, they also place a limit on HOW LONG you can eat for, making it so that a lot of your eating time is actually waiting time. Also they will charge you if you have leftover rice and they make sure to pad their rolls with lots of rice. The good thing is that they dont just offer raw fish and rolls, they also offer tofu, edamame, teriyaki chicken, etc.

4 Stars: all-u-can-eat sushi (by Andrew H.)

if you're satisfied with rolls and nigiri, then this is the place to be. grab a seat at the bar and watch the chefs do their magic. soon you'll be stuffed to the brim and burping out salmon.

PROS:
CONS: can't take food to-go

4 Stars: good lunch all you can eat buffet (by michelle h.)

The sashimi is very fresh and the lunch special is well worth it. You can either get a specialty roll with your meal for cheap or you can do the all you can eat buffet. I'd go with the buffet. It includes appitizers, soup, salad, handrolls, specialty rolls, chicken, as well as sashimi.

PROS: lunch buffet
CONS: one hour limit

4 Stars: FOOD COMA (by Fiona C.)

One of the better sushi buffets in San Diego. Located in a fairly busy part of La Jolla, it is quite small in that it'll be a while before you can have a seat at the sushi bar. Sushi was very good. If you dont eat all of the rice given with the sushi, they apparently charge you extra.

4 Stars: Love Sushi, This is definitely your place (by Albert Joe L.)

Tadashi is a good place to have sushi especially if you can eat a lot and love sushi because you can order the sushi buffet. Yes, I mean sushi buffet, you can order anything for the buffet and they will personally make it in front of you. So the sushi is fresh and good,

The bad thing is there isn't much choice on the buffet. They would give you a list of food that you can order and that's pretty much it, but what makes it worth it is on that list, most of it is raw sushi like fish with rice or octopus with rice.

The price is pretty expensive for a buffet but at least it is fresh. but it is almost the same as Todai.

Its location is also very convenient and nice as it is located in downtown La Jolla and all the restaurant near Tadashi, is also pretty expensive.

I have never tried the normal menu, cuz everytime I came here, I always eat the sushi buffet. If you are hungry and love sushi, this is the place for you.
