I think Shoshona B. is confused when she says the portions are small at Special Thai. She is correct in saying the food is excellent, but I can never eat all my food when I eat here. I must take it home for a later treat. Their lunch menu is an amazing value. You receive a choice of Tom Yum Soup or a dinner salad with a "secret salad dressing" that is perky and sweet. In addition you receive, without asking, two fried shrimp with dipping sauce along with a sampling of Yellow Curry with chicken, potato and carrot. This is served with crisp fried pita or nan-like bread. All this before your entre and is only $5.95. I eat here by myself about 2 to 3 times a week.

Thai Spice also has a Friday and Sunday All you can eat Buffet for $10.95. What a good way to sample Thai food if you're curious.

As far as the service goes, I brought 14 of my family here one afternoon after Christmas. We ordered everything including Soup to Nuts. At the same time a family was seated near us with 10 people at their table. Our food came out just minutes after ordering with their staff refilling glasses and seeing to our every need. At the same time taking care of the other family quickly, too. So-so service? I think not.

I will finish this by saying "If you don't mind a great value, Special Thai is the Place"

I rate this 5 Stars not because of its elegance but because of its at home feeling you get every time you walk through the door

The food here is delicious but the portions are small and expensive. The seafood is done to perfection, cooked perfectly. The beef is melt in your mouth. The veggies are steamed or sauteed and cooked just the way they should be. The Thai rice is so good you will want to eat a wheelbarrow full of it.

The service was just so-so although friendly enough.

If you don't mind paying for good Thai food this is the place.
