This place is cute and small. The service is good but I wouldn't say there is anything special about the food. The prices are okay and the place is hardly noticeable if you are just passing by Castro Valley.

Again, a basic restaurant. There is nothing too special about this place except for the people who work there. Jenny herself is very friendly and makes you feel like she is inviting you into her home for breakfast or dinner. If you have a hankering for some good breakfast, I'd go here.

Jenny's is a long time staple on the old Castro Valley Blvd located across from the Chabot Cinema.

The table cloths threw me off. When i see covered tables - it flags pricey fancy California Cuisine. But this is not the case. The menu is basic comfort foods featuring some daily specials.

I went for dinner or late lunch this past July and found the place to be pleasant with very warm service, Its easy to chat with the chef and staff.

But the food is presented in its basic form, nothing special. Its good and tasty but something seems to be missing.

Castro Valley is one of the few small unincorporated towns in the east bay that has more than six mom and pop diners (including Vals) and Jenny's is right up their, Give it go - Parking is easy - if you are a local there is a parking in rear were the old CV post office was once located.

Pros: Easy Parking - always a table ready - Crowds are slim

Cons: something missing from the menu and feeling of the food. Maybe not presented well

Jenny's Cafe is a nice little cafe for breakfast. They had a good variety of food to choose from, and it is very reasonably priced. The ambience is that of a little mom 'n pop shop, its definitely a neighborhood place. The service was wonderful though, and I was pleased with my meal. It's a great place to start off the weekend!
