6 months ago my wife and I relocated to San Carlos and The search was on for the best burrito. It took a little while to find Sancho's and I was psyched when my first burrito was so great because Sancho's is the closest restaurant to my house. Soon thereafter my order was getting messed up on a regular basis. After the third straight occurrence of them screwing up my order I was upset and wrote a 1 star review, vowing never to go back. I was contacted by the owner, who apologized profusely and promised he would fix the problem and offered to leave a gift card for me at the register (which I never collected). I didn't want freebies, i wanted my order the way I ordered it. After a couple weeks, I broke down and went back. Things were going smoothly, my burritos were being made correctly. Service is usually slow and they could stand to be more organized behind the counter but I was willing to overlook it for good food.

About a month ago I called in an order, waited a bit and headed over to pick it up. When I got there, there were three orders on the bar waiting for pick up. I gave the gentleman my name, he looked at all three and said it wasn't ready yet. I sat at the bar and waited, and waited. Another guy brought out a new order about 15 minutes later. I asked my original guy (short hair, short stature) if that new order was mine. He looked annoyed that I dare ask. Looked at the new order and said what's your name? I gave it again and he said no, but maybe it was one of the original three that he had already looked at. Sure enough my order was sitting there the whole time. He then angrily rang me up as if it were my fault and didn't even offer an apology.

Tonight I placed my usual order and when I got there I could tell my burrito was wrong, when I questioned my friend he proceeded to tell me that he told me on the phone that my connection was bad and that he didn't hear me. I told him that I did not speak with him but rather the woman that was ringing at the time. He insisted I talked with him. I know the difference between their voices, I've ordered from both many times. He offered no solution and didn't seem to care at all whether my order was correct. I simply asked for my money back and told him that this was the last time I was coming back that the mistakes were too much.

His response "Good".

Bye for GOOD Sancho's.

If you come to this restaurant, you'll find tons of local families enjoying fresh Mexican food in a warm comfortable room w/ a sports TV. My kids would eat their beans rice and cheese burrito everyday if they could.

Check out Sanchos Taqueria in Emerald Hills for excellent and authentic Mexican food. The owners are former Woodside High School students. Support your local community!

Sanchos is owned by local young man. The food is soo good and much better than any Mexican restaurant here in town. The only draw back is that inside seating is small BUT food travels very well.
