I'm jazzed about my membership at 24 on Hillsdale.

I'm finding excellent spinning instructors at times I want the classes and I'm able to use the machines when I want. I love that a lot (not all) of the spin instructors will bring you water when you run out.
But more importantly they seem to know what they
are doing.

I also like the layout. I can't got do a cardio workout without passing the weight machines and I can easily hope on a machine when I've got 10 minutes until my class starts.

But..
It doesn't feel clean. I haven't found a lot dirt around but it just doesn't feel clean. Unlike some earlier posters most people have a towel and tend to wipe off.

At 9am on a weekday morning it is pretty busy. I'm sure prime time is a disaster.

Classes can get full but you can pay $1 to reserve
a spot which given the membership cost through
Costco it doesn't bother me a lot.

I have stopped working out because I don't like this gym location. My current membership is the second I've had with the 24 hour chain, and I've been disappointed both times. It's true that you get what you pay for, but I think there should be some effort put into keeping machines and rooms clean- I don't see that here. If you're not picky or much into hygiene, then this is the gym for you. If you are particular about the people and details that go into a tight, overcrowded space, I'd look elsewhere. I am happily canceling my membership--again--in hopes of finding a gym that I look forward to visiting.

very spacious. but at rush hours it gets crowded. personal trainers are great. they help you reach the goal but they are expensive. I loved the group exercises the best. they have many group lessons for various timings. club is clean. lots of equipments.

Tiffany wrote a review on this location and I have to agree. I went as a guest of a friend of mine who has a life time membership. Generally when this person has a guest they don't have to go through the silly sales pitch and what not. I've been there before so a tour is not needed. I also am a trainer so no need to explain the machines and how they work. This person talked down to me as if I was like 5. Finally I get the pass for my 2wks.... I was so annoyed and so was my friend that I nearly walked out.

So I stayed and used the facilities. I found the gym to be way to small for the amount of members they have. This wasn't even prime time we are talking 11am. Several of the clientele were dripping sweat all over the machines with no class to wipe up or have a towel on them. It was gross.

I was just disappointed as I use to use this gym years ago during the winter for the pool and spa facilities. Back then it was ran different. Now I will say if you have a hectic schedule this is a place you can work out at all hours of the night.

PROS: Open 24hrs.........
CONS:

The Hillsdale 24 hour fitness is located adjacent to a Target store and shares a parking lot with a TJ Maxx. The gym is fairly small yet has a pool and hot tub in the back of the building. The gym is very busy from 4pm to 8pm. There are usually no treadmills or ellipticals available and the staff rarely imposes the 30 min on a machine rule. The gym has a separate small spinning room and a larger wooden floored workout room and the right hand side of the gym. 24 hour offers daycare, a variety of classes and televisions mounted in front of the ellipticals.

The sales staff is very aggressive, and even though you are told you can bring guests, they will try to pressure your guest to purchase a membership. There are no towels provided but lockers are available in each of the gym locker rooms. They only have one scale available to weigh yourself and unfortunetly they moved it into the sales office so if you need to weigh yourself be prepared to wait in line amongst the 24 hour staff. I really don't feel like the employees are versed enough in customer service and this is something this gym needs to work on.

PROS: good location
CONS: no customer service, 30 min rule hardly enforced
