Excellent store. They have a ton of folk instruments and a really good repair staff. Nice folks working there as well. I brought a martin for them to set up on the advice of my guitar teacher, and was happy with the work they did.

World of Strings is a wonderful place. Good, knowledgeable, friendly people. Stock that goes beyond the usual thing one finds in a small shop.
I've gone in with some off-the-wall questions, and whoever is there at the time gives me an understandable answer.
I have never run into the kind of "I just work here. If you don't want to buy something, I'm out of here" thing I get at the big box music stores. Just as important, they don't give me the sort of "how can you be that dumb?" attitude one finds in other places.

World of Strings will astound you. They have a tremendous selection of stringed instruments, including heavenly sounding harps. Of course they also carry violins, violas, cellos, bases, guitars, ukuleles, banjos, and mandolins. They even have Japanese, Indian and other exotic stringed instruments. Their staff are all expert musicians and can pick the right instrument for the beginner or accomplished musician. Even better, they make and repair instruments on the premises.

Nice people. Good work. No comic book guy from the Simpsons guitare snobs here. Nice selection of accustic instruments. The work is always good but it might take a while.
