I had a problem with expiring gift cards and took it up with the owners. If you have gift card which does not have an expiration date printed on the card, and yet they will not honor the card, remind them that the owners have promised to comply with the law, which says that expiring gift cards must have a clearly printed expiration date on the card.

We went here for a post-graduation celebration and were a little disappointed. The setting is lovely but the menu was limited and not that special, especially not at those prices. Our waitress was friendly and attentive at first but must have gotten busy because we hardly saw her again after the food arrived. Certain items we ordered were good but most were just average. I wish we'd gone elsewhere for our special occasion.

Mother's Day brunch was very nice, we ordered a variety of dishes, including the Special. The crab cake was delicious with an unusual banana/kiwi salad. The eggs benedict dishes were cooked to perfection.
All hot foods were piping hot and cold dishes were nicely chilled. Service was a bit slow, but it was super busy and crowded. As always seated quickly and were not rushed out - like some restaurants do on a holiday. Valet was great too.

Pros: Great selections - such variety, Nice servers, Valet Parking

Cons: Tables are very close together, gets a little noisy, some rooms are very cold.

Such a peaceful place. If you are alooking for a calm, quiet, upscale place to have a nice celebration or lunch/dinner, The Gardens should be on your list. The chopped salad is delicious and everyone loves the guacaole made tableside. Give them a try.

Gardens on Glendon is one of my favorite places to go when celebrating a special occasion. Entrees are unique and freshest ingredients are used - be sure to ask about daily specials. You must have the guacamole for an appetizer that is made to order at your table - you tell the attendant your spiciness threshold. Prices are a bit on the high side but well worth it. Staff are friendly and attentive.

This is a great place to dine for a romantic night out. It was easy to find and had valet right out front. We had no reservations, but were sat within 10 minutes and were even given a special seat on the rotunda, overlooking the lights upstairs! We were promptly asked if we wanted wine and even got it poured quickly. To top it off, and the true testament to the restaurant: we both enjoyed our dinner tremendously; I ordered the salmon and he ordered the shrimp and they were both cooked perfectly with a divine sauce. We thought it was so good, that we had to order dessert (eventhough we were both stuffed)...and we were really glad we did because it was a perfect finish to the right entrees. If we weren't already married this is where I'd want to be proposed to! We will definitely be going back again and recommending it to all our friends.

Cons: you'd have to be really uptight to find any problems with this place

Before we made out reservations for Gardens on Glendon we read the reviews on citysearch. We almost opted out after the harsh reviews but we decided to stick it out because it was still a 1000 points on open table. So going in we were skeptical but we were pleasantly suprised. The table side guacamole was very good despite the same side table sitting couple next to us that watched us enjoying it. The bottle of wine was very good and the menu despite being limited was not as bad as we were expecting. The service was adequate although slightly pushy about ordering and taking our plates away. The setting made this a place that i would recommend. Comparing this place or any to fast food places seems a bit ridiculous to us.

The food is average and way overpriced. However, I would recommend it over fast food any day of the week. I enjoyed the ambiance and the waiter and waitress staff were all very attractive and pleasant to deal with.

TIP: Skip the salsa and order the guacamole dip! You will be blown away at how great it tastes!!

The restaurant features 3 very different and unique seating areas, so depending on your mood there is a place for whatever. Also the bar/lounge is a terrific atmosphere with great service. This staff is all about the customer. Not the cheapest place, but the menu is delicious.

This is a really pretty place. The food isen't bad but it's average. I wouldn't pay that much to eat there again although when I am nearby it sure beats fast food!

The food was delicious, and it was neat to have the guacamole prepared fresh at your table, but it is pricey. Though the atmoshphere and service does match the price, nothing really stands out for me to go back. Also, the crowd is a little 'aged'.

PROS: The food was good.
CONS: Pricey, no parking.

I went to this restaurant to meet a group of friends, and I was impressed with the decor and atmosphere, and the food wasn't bad, either, just expensive, with mandatory tip billed in. It is a a very classy restaurant, and apparently a lot of movie premiere parties and other events are held there a lot. The menu is very pricey.

My only complaint, other than the cost, is that parking is hard to find. Since it is on the corner of a street with no parking lot, I had to park in a parking garage across the street, which charged an exhorbitant rate.

PROS: Excellent facilities for parties, good food and service
CONS: Expensive, parking is hard to find

the appetizers were delcious, but that was about it. the waiter said the special for the night was a shrimp dish, which i ordered. when he put a plate of scallops in front of me, i was confused. he said that he had told me the special was scallops, and i must have not heard him correctly. i ate them reluctantly- they were horrible. very gummy and salty. my dining partner's dish was not much better. expensive wine that they never poured for us after the first glass. very disappointed for the price.

This is the kind of food I'd expect to pay five dollars for at Koo Koo Roo. Completely unoriginal and almost completely flavorless. The decor is cute and it can easily accommodate big groups but otherwise there's nothing to recommend this restaurant.

Don't bother going to Gardens on Glendon. After a bad experience there about a year ago I figured I'd give the place the benefit of the doubt and try again. They ignored my reservation from OpenTable and sat my party at the bar. Nobody bothered to take our order for 15 minutes. The staff was rude and insulted members of my party. Two of our three orders came out incorrect. The wait staff never came back to our table until they dropped of the check. Stay away from Gardens and go to the Napa Valley Grill or Palamino across the street.

It's well decorated and the crab cakes are great here, and I could not comment on ALL their food, but all in all, it was not great, not even close. First of all, the menu is very limited, which already puts a damper on the dining experience. For dishing out a Franklin for two people, I'd expect a little more quality; the fish of the day (Halibut) was almost as dry as a cardboard and the chicken was ok, but also dry. I guess maybe one couldn't go wrong with red meat, but I wouldn't know... Take your money and spend it more wisely, there ARE better places around this neighborhood.

We paid close to $100 (we were fools) hoping for a dinner for a special occasion. Our orders were wrong, our fish was dry, and we had to ask 2-3 times before getting someone to fill up our water. The waitress was very indifferent; she did not even apologize when we reminded her that she forgot our order. Go elsewhere in Westwood.

For a special occasion or just because you want really delicious food, you have to get to the Gardens. They have this made to order guacamole that they prepare fresh at your table and the tortilla chips are fresh, light and wonderful in flavor. They have an incredible wine list and I do not believe there is anything they serve that isn't heavenly. I had the crab cakes on fresh greens and they were full of fresh crab meat, not breading. I will definitely be going back for dinner!

I think that this is a beautiful restaurant. The menu offers a range of choices and the table side guacamole is always a winner. Great brunch and dinner date spot. Sometimes even a decent bar scene, for westwood.

The place is nice, but the food is way overpriced and is just so-so. Some of the salads, such as the chicken, was actually pretty disappointing. The menu is poor. Perhaps the only good thing here is the guacamole, but even that is overpriced for a few avocados.

The Gardens has always been on my list but I never seemed to have the occassion to dine there. Well, I finally did and was pleasantly surprised by the menu. Starting with a mature wine list, I choose a Rubissow Merlot to accompany a Seared Ahi entre. The match was perfect. The occassion was finished with a Berries and Ice Cream dessert topped with Chamborg. A yummy homemade favorite. You'll enjoy your own occassion at The Gardens.
