This deli is very good. The sandwiches are huge and fresh. The prices are reasonable also the service is good. I specially like the fresh rolls i believe they make them there.

I have used this wonderful little joint for many luncheon gatherings at my kids schools.
The 4 foot and 6 foot heros are delicious, especially since they make their bread there.
The value you get from these heros is great and they are always heaped high with fresh ingredients.
I would recommend them for any fun event, or of you are just looking for a great large sandwich to eat or share.

Pros: Fantastic Homemade Bread with great sandwich meats very fresh

Cons: not enough parking, but you can find some around the corner

This place is a hole in the wall, but they have great sandwiches at really reasonable prices. The bread is made fresh everyday and they have nearly anything you can think to choose from. I think it is a family owned place. The first time I walked in there I was sceptical. It is a Point Loma secret. =)

I was looking for a Deli in the area and I ran into this place. They have a awesome menu with many different homemade sandwiches, and a variety of soups. I ordered the fresh tuna and I would totally go back again. I also had some hot baked cookies. Decent prices for good food.

My first experience at Brown Bag was in 1981 when I was stationed at NTC. It was our daily ritual. Those ladies were a lot younger then. I finally ended up in Northern Califorinia. Luckily I worked for companies that did business in San Diego so I went there every trip. When my brother moved to San Diego I'm not sure what I was happier about: him being in the same state or being able to go to Brown Bag more often. Fresh baked bread and heaps of ingrediants can't be beat. I've traveled a lot and never found a sandwich/sub that can compare.

Pros: Great food, good cost

Cons: parking is limited. usually have to park around the block durin lunch but its worth it.

This place is awesome! It's a bunch of old ladies who make amazing sandwiches. The meat is fresh and the selection is huge. The prices are also way cheaper than any other sandwich place I've ever been to. It's a little hole in the wall, so if you blink, you may miss it. The parking lot is really small, which makes it hard to find a spot. But overall it's a great place to stop in for lunch.

I'm currently in the military, and have been for 19 years. I've traveled the world over, and never have eaten a sandwich that even comes close to the Brown Bag Deli. The bread is the best I've had, and the portion size is huge for a very modest price. I visited there in Dec 04 again, and had to buy two loaves of the bread just to take it back to Wisconsin where I currently reside. Family can't get enough
