Dr. Chui is knowledgeable but thinks she has 100% control over a child's growth. She is very expensive and can not do magic with nature's faults. Most of her patients stay with braces for over 7 years, yet they do not end up with flawless teeth and jaws. She has to realize the limits of her abilities and inform the patient of that. Ridiculous head gears that we pay for and our kids have to suffer in, should be removed from her agenda. Her staff are great.

My children were treated by Dr. Chui, and I don't agree with any of the other reviews. I have known her for a while now after her treatment of my children. These other people say that she is "egotistical", "rude", "outdated", and "overly expensive". ALL OF THESE ARE NOT VALID!
Firstly, egotistical? Please, you people are NOT orthodontists so do not presume that you know what you are talking about. She may be quite forceful at times, but that is because she knows what is best for her patients. Also, to the parents that feel as if that she is rude with the children, it simply is not true. If you've been in the office, you know how many patients she is seeing. Cut the doctor a break. She is only stern with the children because she needs them to cooperate and do as she says so that the treatment will yield the best possible results. I know that my children didn't want to wear her rubber bands, but Dr. Chui forced her to and now the results are spectacular.
For the person who thinks Dr. Chui is outdated, she is in no way so. She goes to continued education classes and she does apply these new techniques. I am willing to bet the people who believe she is outdated was told that she did not want to use invisalign on his/her child. This is because invisalign is not as adaptable as normal braces, IT IS FOR THE WELL BEING OF THE PATIENT not to be outdated. Severe cases have to be treated with the strongest methods.
As for the pricing of her treatments, if you think she is expensive, it is because she provides the highest level of patient care possible. Don't bash the doctor just because you cannot afford it. Also, using her husband as a shield to say that she should lower her prices is ridiculous. Her husband is a general dentist.
Overall, I think this orthodontist is a great one and I highly recommend her. I would not listen to these other reviews as they do not offer any evidence of how she was faulted in any of the aforementioned ways. A fault that I have found with her office is that when it is really busy, there is some wait, but she will give you the attention you deserved once you're out of the waiting room.

I like this dentist. She and her staff are very professional. Her results can be found on thousands of kids who have grown-up in the community.
This orthodontist understands the meaning of appointments. She won't overbook and force patients to sit long after their appointed time.
I highly recommend this orthodontist.

Dr. Chui was rude with my children and excessively expensive. I'm sorry I signed a contract with her! I love her staff as they made her practice what it was but Dr. Chui unmade her practice.

This doctor is technically outdated and extremely egotistical and overpriced. She doesnt listen to her patients and assumes its the patients fault if she encounters a problem. Her staff is great. I would think that a doctor who is married to a VERRY wealthy husband could AFFORD to economically decent to her patients, and isnt.
