I have to admit...those last few negative comments seem so odd to me because I have had nothing but incredible experiences with my children seeing Dr. Austin. In fact, when one of my daughters was first seen by the previous doctor, it was Dr. Austin who was the one to really make the progress my daughter needed.

The Mommy who wrote about the teary-eyed kids probably saw a child who gets pampered all the time by their parents. Parents should understand and teach their children that the braces are going to make you sore.

As for the staff (sorry this is so long but I had to comment on this one!) the staff is outstanding! It seems like the old staff wasnt that good until Dr. Austin got better people in there. Ive experienced both staff sets and it is so funny to me that the person who wrote the review before mentioned the vibe the VIBE is so much better now! I love walking into the office and seeing their smiling faces. Yes, they may not be able to remember everyones name but give them a break every doctors office sees so many people in a day they cant possibly remember all those names! Maybe they werent remembered because they didnt make an effort to be remembered in a nice way...who knows!

Brian J. is obviously off his rocker! Dr. Austin, dont listen to those other reviews. Keep doing what you are doing and dont forgetit all comes down to being the best doctor with the best results and you have my vote on that one! Oh, and my friends who are patients think your great too! (P.S. Im sending this to you in an email. I hope you get it!)

This office used to be the smoothest running ship when Dr. Turley was there (so sad that he's so far from home for us!). Dr. Austin IS a good doctor, but the staff there now leaves much to be desired in all aspects. I've also seen him get impatient recently with teary eyed little ones. His original key staff all left a few months ago and the difference is painfully obvious because the whole office vibe changed. Those girls made sure you were taken care of every time and were just lovely to deal with. The staff now just... isn't. This used to be the best ortho office in the area, so it's sad to see how its all fallen apart. You can never find an appointment either. If you have to pull your kid out of school, plan on pulling them out for the day because even a morning appointment will run late.

I'm very close to switching my girls to Dr. Woo but haven't yet for financial reasons. I know many moms that already did and absolutely love the doctor and staff there. If you're willing to drive the extra distance you should go to the Turley's in Manhattan Beach, they are worth it!

We were passed onto this guy from Dr Turley, because he bought the practice and Austin is all about volume. He bounces between Simi Valley and Santa Monica. How can he be in 2 places at the same time? Obviously, he can't so his assistants do all the work and they change all the time
The Santa Monica office is CLOSED on Tuesdays, so don't get anything done on Monday otherwise you will have to wait until Wednesday to fix the problem.
He has told us to make appointments during school hours so you have to pull your kids out of school to get an appointment.
His website is slick with nice pictures but it is just a handme down from Dr. Turley who is the best.
Pass on this guy, there are much better orthodontists in the area.

Dr. Austin and his staff were amazing. He straightened my teeth with Invisilign and the results were beyond my expectations and I finished in a very short amount of time. Everyone in his office was very friendly and professional. I would refer all of my friends and their families to him!

Dr. Paul Austin is Terrible! He's personality is like a wet mop and his results aren't up to par - trust me. And the dental girls who work there are all lower class monkeys who have snippy attitudes. My poor daughter has left Dr. Austin's office several times unhappy with her visit.
