Southern Kitchen

Great breakfasts but don't try it on the weekend unless you get there early - always a crowd because the food is wonderful. I especially like their omlets.

Southern Kitchen is a fixture in Los Gatos - great food, large portions, good prices. The omelets, chicken fried steak or biscuits and gravy will fill you up all day. I love the restaurant, but only if I'm walking in town. Otherwise, parking and waiting aren't that fun. Worth it, for sure, just not that much fun. 5 star food - 3 star convenience

If you can, try to go during the week so you can skip the long lines. The breakfast is definitely worth it -- very generous portions of all the favorites, plus some fancier choices in terms of omlettes and other specialties. Fast, but nice service and a great location in Los Gatos. I'm planning my next visit already.

this is a fairly small breakfast and lunch restaurant. although, they are famous for breakfast (especially the fried green tomatoes). there's a board listing the daily specials (although, it always seems to be pretty much the same). On a Sunday morning people will wait an hour for a table it's that good (even though there's no place inside to wait and just one park bench outside.
