My husband and I have been seeing Dr, Ibrahim for the last 30 years. His sensitive, kind demeanor and sense of humor always stands out every time we bring one of our pets in to see him. In fact, my first memory of Doctor Ibrahim goes like this. My husband and I had a seven year old, over weight sheltie named "Colleen." We came to his office, almost in tears, thinking our beloved Colleen was dying. Over the last two months before bring her in, her weight seemed to double. As I mentioned before, Colleen was an over-weight dog. My husband and I thought she must have a fast growing tumor, and we were afraid of the outcome. Doctor Ibrahim quickly examined Colleen, and with a smile asked us if we had a male dog. We quickly responded with a yes, but told him that the male dog we had was just a puppy. Doctor Ibrahim then asked with a smile, "How old is your male puppy?" Our response was 8 to 9 months old. Doctor Ibrahim quickly said, Colleen isn't dying, she was pregnant! Our fears quickly turned into laughter, and Colleen had 6 healthy puppies one week later. Needless to say, Doctor Ibrahim is like part of our family, and this is just a sample of our many, many, visits/memories we have had with this special person. Thank you so much, Doctor Ibrahim, for sharing, teaching, and providing such outstanding service for our fury family members!
I've beentaking my pet's, including every class pet I ever had at school, to Dr. Ibrahim for about 25 years, and would not trust an other vet with my pets. I remember the time my late husband took off from work in the morning trying to beet me to the Office to try to keep our 19 year old deadly sick cat from being put to sleep, with tears running down his face when I told him Billy Cat King just went to heaven. He could no longer eat nor drink and the puss glued his gums together, and he was unable to sit or stand any longer. When a pet get's that old you are not doing him a favor by keeping him alive. We could never pronounce his name, so we renamed him Dr. Ibrahim, which the good old doctor accepted gracefully and with a smile, because he has an understanding of people and animals and a great big heart of gold.
His prices have always been fair. He's not in this business to make money, but truly cares about his Profession and the animals people bring to him.
God Bless You and all you do every day!!!
I will always remember you with love, compassion, and deep graditude for all the ways you made my life easier taking care of my pets.
We found Dr. Ibrahim about two years ago. He is the best vet we've ever had. We, too, fear his retirement. One can tell he loves what he's doing, loves the animals, and truly cares. While his office is small, he has access to the latest technology and labs. His compassion shines through, and when we leave, we feel cheered up by his smile and loving nature. Don't know what we'll do when he retires.
Broadway Veterinary Hospital has been my vet for twenty years. This hospital has treated my pets well and has been the most caring vet I have found. If you have a question the doctor will talk to you and take the time for you to understand all your options with your pet care. Dr Ibrahims is an old school vet that believes in the quality of life for your pet. He will not give an owner false hope if the pet is beyond help due to injury or disease. This is one of his hallmarks. I have seen some other vets talk pet owners into heroic measures to their dying animal, only to leave the owner with a large vet bill as well as the loss of their beloved pet. This I feel is reprehesible. Dr. Ibrahims has an affiliation with UCDavis and he has many specialties. I fear the day he retires and I will have to find some other vet that won't come close to his care. If your expecting some fancy clinic go somewhere else. Dr Ibrahims has been at this location since the 1960s. He keeps the place clean and basic. This is a clinic where you can call in the morning and let him know you are coming in and there will be no problem or he will tell you the best time. His fees are reasonable giving the owner the best basic care for the dollar. This is so important for the buget conscious. My pets love him!
