Asakuma Restaurant

A very nice, high end, Japanese restaurant in the Brentwood area. Great food, but under new ownership, so things might have changed. Parking is a pain, and the valet is slow. Otherwise, a good place for a meal. Everything is fresh, and the service is generally quick. While the prices are higher than some, their early bird dinners are certainly quite reasonable.

Asakuma offers a very creative selection of delicious dishes. We don't get to go there too often, but everything we've tried has been great. Prices are OK, but I'd rather pay and really savor the flavor of my food. Highly recommended!

I looove japanese food and sometimes its hard to find a place that i keep going back to over and over, but finally Asakuma! the prices are reasonable and selection is good. I usually like to get sushi, but they have good tempura udon...they also carry TY KU white sake, which is one of the best on the market right now!!! its kinda hard to find and I'm happy to find a place that has everything i like in a good Japanese meal!

Asakuma is arguably the best Japanese restaurant on the Westside. Offering an elegantly appointed dining room and gracious service, it consistently produces delicious and well-prepared Japanese cuisine for its appreciative and loyal customers. The standout among their many excellent combination dinners is the marinated black cod, a house specialty. Asakuma also serves a wide selection of deftly prepared sushi. Prices are moderate, and their daily early-bird dinner special (served from 5:30 to 7:00 pm) is one of the city's greatest values.
