Twerp's Resale For Children

I stopped by the store today and it was shuttered. Out of business. Kaput. I miss the days when Robin ran it over 15 years ago. It was a little on the funky side, but the hours were reliable and the prices great. Twerps will be missed.

I tried for three hours to call and speak with someone on the phone at Twerps and only got the answering machine asking me to leave my name and number and they would return my call at their convenience. Today I went by at 3pm and they were closed with a clock sign stating they would be returning at 7:15. looking through the window it seems rather sparse inside. Perhaps it is because their clientele cannot depend on them being open when they stop by and they have stopped supporting the store? I can't tell you about an experience in dealing with Twerps as a resale shop, because they have not given me a chance to shop them. The previous postings are all at least 2 -4 years old, and perhaps the management has changed. I know that 15 years ago it was a place you could take your gently used clothing and toy to sell and in return go home with some treasures.

I have shopped at Twerps for over 4 years, and love it! My children always are welcomed, the toy selection is very top knotched, and the resale items are always quality brands (european, local boutique, etc.) and for great prices. They carry babylegs, beautiful highend shoes, gorgeous gift sets, and really nice resale items (peg perego strollers, ryan's place dollhouses, etc.) I have bought so much here at greatly reduced prices to any other place I can go. The new owner who took over in 2006 did a great job adding quality. This is one mom who is so thankful for a well maintained and well cared for shop.

Located in Eagle Rock near the corner of Eagle Rock Blvd. and Colorado, Twerps is a small store that offers items for baby and children such as bath products, toys, gently used baby clothing, and resale kids items. They also have knitting classes. The selection is pretty good, but their hours are somewhat erratic. Ive been by when they should be open and theyve been closed.

I live really close to this place and have been lucky enough to find some fun gifts for mother's to be and babies. They carry lots of bath products and lotions including the full Burt's Bees line. It's pretty small, which is nice. If you're interested in knitting and yarn work they have a sign up sheet for a class. Also, in back they've got a pretty good selection of resale items for children. I didn't find any bargains but they have a good selection and then again, I wasn't looking at resale items.

Unique toys, toiletries for mom & baby, fun new baby clothes and quality gently-used clothing for mom & baby. Story time several days a week, children's art classes & knitting classes for adults are offered also. Friendly staff.
If no parking available on street, there are nearby lots.
